| Must have accessoryThis is a premium product that is a must buy for a Weber kettle. I've been able to easily maintain temps over 500 degrees for an extended period of time by pouring charcoals into the heat controller. The shape of the bowl helps it hold more coals than other volcano shaped charcoal holders. Also, the shape allows for a "lazy snake" to be build around it. With the heat deflector I've been able to smoke at 250 degrees for upwards of 10 hours. My only issue is I wish the deflector was one piece. | Was This Helpful? |
| Old kettle acts like new!I bought this to install in a 30 year old kettle that I had previously modified to use a temperature controller for low and slow cooking. The problem was I could only use about half the grill to avoid direct cooking. This new internal system allows more charcoal for longer cooks as well as provides indirect cooking on the entire grate.
