I bought this for more surface area on the smoker for doing a lot of jerky, salmon etc. However, as others have said, the gap in between the two shelves is pretty tight. I cut the rack in half and welded on a couple of stainless steel spacers. Now it will separate into two pieces. It should work great now. It should come from Traeger that way .

I live in Oregon and the whole rack rusted eventhough I cover my traeger. I used the rack for jerky and now not sure what rack to purchase.

An extremely robust shelf but putting item(s) on the bottom shelf or cleaning the bottom shelf is difficult and time consuming.

This shelf needs a way to separate the shelves... Hard to load and clean. With it would come a part in 2 pieces, easy 5 star. Well made and works great for smoking salmon and making jerky

Very heavy duty and cleans up well after making about 25 batches of jerky. Only complaint is that the two shelves are WAY too close together. Another inch or two would make loading the lower shelf much easier and would require such a small amount of redesign I find it hard to believe that it hasnt been done already? I like the solution of cutting them apart and making a sleeve just be sure to pick it up correctly or there could be protein abuse letting something precious fall! ;)

I found it very inconvenient to load bottom rack with jerky slices so I cut each upright halfway up and now I can remove the top rack completely then I slipped a hollow steel sleeve over each upright. Now I can completely remove top rack while I load the bottom one then place the top rack into the sleeves and load it. This works much better. Traeger should do something like this to make the racks so they separate. But this is a satisfactory quick fix. Otherwise it works just great.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
