The Napoleon LEX 605 (formerly known as Mirage 605) natural gas built-in grill has three stainless steel tube burners and one ceramic infrared searing burner that provide up to 64,000 BTUs of cooking power. This 36 1/2-inch built-in grill has 605 square inches of main cooking area and 245 square inches of warming area for a total of 850 square inches of cooking area. The Napoleon electronic Jetfire ignition with crossover lighting starts each burner individually for a reliable start up every time and allows you to light all the burners at the same time. The stainless steel, wave cooking grids create the trademark Napoleon sear lines. The stainless steel, self-cleaning sear plates vaporize drippings, control flare ups and keep your food moist. The LEX BIM605 also has a 15,500 BTU ceramic rear infrared burner for roasting like a professional chef. Over 11,000 flame ports on the infrared burners produce up to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit for optimum searing and locking in juices. The tightly sealed, double-walled hood features an Accu-Probe temperature gauge and retains heat for oven-like performance. Back-lit control knobs make grilling at night easy and clean up is a cinch with the full width removable drip pan.

| Love the infrared feaure!Owened it since January 2018 and, outside of taking a bit too long to assemble, we are extremely happy with the quality of this grill. The infrared side grid which provides almost instant searing of any meat, fish or vegetables is great! (please read directions on Manual on it's use for safety). Just recently. and due to its frequent use, the infrared unit, and couple of other parts have needed replacement, and all it took was a call to customer support and they sent us a free unit for each replacement immediately. | GarbageWorst design ever; flat bottom drip tray so everything and I mean everything has big fat fires. Ruined so many steaks and marinated foods on this BBQ....I have 3 others currently (cottage, house and winter condo) and have owned many BBQ over the years. This is by FAR the worst. Things We Love:
Napoleon LEX gas grills are an excellent value, especially considering the grill's innovative accessories and features. The LEX series offers and optional infrared rear burner, an infrared “sizzle-zone” burner, and a built-in ice bucket with integrated cutting board. I also really like Napoleon’s doubled lined “lift-ease” lid, which opens easily and helps hold in heat for oven like cooking. The lid is hinged near the middle, and when open adds hardly any depth to the back of the grill allowing for easy placement in a variety of spaces.
Napoleon offers a generous grilling area for the price, and there are a lot of accessories available, so you can increase the versatility of the grill. If you love the flavor of charcoal, you can put in a charcoal tray and use the burners to light the charcoal, then turn them off. They also have a smoker tube accessory that you can fill with wood chips and add more layers of flavor to your BBQ. A rotisserie kit is also available so you can utilize the infrared rear burner on select models. I like that this is an option. That way people who aren’t interested in the rotisserie don’t have to pay for something they won’t use.
The warranty on the LEX series is a standout in its class, having a lifetime warranty on the exterior housing and cooking grids. Napoleon also boasts a 10 year + 5 warranty on their burners and flame tamers that provides replacement parts at a 50% of normal cost for 5 years after the 10 year warranty expires.
Thing To Consider:
While this grill is built tough, and backed by a strong warranty, Napoleon LEX grills are not "all stainless steel", which is what many customers are shopping for nowadays. Along with the stainless steel components on the grill, you will also find cast aluminum and porcelain enameled steel components too, such as cart legs, back panels, etc.
