I have an older model and am not sure if design has changed on any newer product. The bad: motor quits turning when required to turn heavy loads or if liad usn't correctly balanced. The good: I am able to open case and reposition gears to get motor functioing again. Have had my set for over ten years and it still humming along...with periodic gears repisitioning required. Thinking about buying a new set and see what hsppens.
Nice solid product. You can barely here the motor on the rotisserie when in operation.
This my second purchase. It adds a great touch to my grilling. By observing my temperature and times recommended I have made perfect roasts, turkeys, and chicken.
We had one when I was a kid 40 years ago I have had one for 15 years. It is the only way I will make turkey on thanksgiving, juiciest white meat ever. I tie up the turkey and then put bacon under wings legs and string, really adds a good flavor.
Dear Weber, I have owned a number of Weber charcoal kettle grills since the early 1980's and have always been more than satisfied with their quality and performance—further I have purchased two rotisserie units as late as several years ago. To say that my recent "Performer" purchase and rotisserie are both pieces of junk, compared with my past excellent experience, would be a gross understatement. I purchased both pieces in time for a Labor Day cookout, which I assembled a day prior in order to serve a dozen guests, with my rotisserie hickory smoked beef and pork specialty. My first disappointment came when I discovered my kettle was shipped without assemble instructions, which I finally had to give up trying to find the right copy for my unit on your web site, and had to call your customer support, which turned out to be very courteous and helpful. After assembly I was horrified to discover that the lid did not fit the kettle snuggly but wobbled loosely over the kettle, not staying in place, compared to my past 35 years experience with Weber grills. Then to make matters worse the rotisserie frame would not fit down on the kettle in place, because the two inside kettle nuts securing the lid holder, blocked the circular unit from going down far enough to lock down in place. For a test pre-cook I tried cooking a nice steak with charcoal and fresh hickory wood smoke. The lid would NOT fit down securely on the kettle, even by spinning and pressing the cover down in order to find a securing spot, cooking temperature was difficult to control, and the kettle leaked so bad between the cover and kettle, that more smoke came out between the kettle and the lid, than did thru the upper lid port. Having no choice, with company coming the next day, I took my rotary grinder and enlarged the rotisserie frame notches in order to fit it down properly onto the kettle—to my chagrin, after clearing the nuts, the rotisserie frame still would not fit down in place, and stay securely mounted on the kettle's lip, instead rocking precariously on the kettle surface. I mounted the rotisserie spit rod and pressed down with a similar pressure and the weight of the meat I was about to cook. I could not be certain that the whole mess between the misfitting kettle and the rotisserie frame would not dump my meat on the ground, with the slightest accidental nudge with weight of the meat turning and cooking, that I decided to drill two holes thru the kettle and rotisserie frame in order to secure it down in place. Our location is at high elevation in the North Carolina Mountains, where we can get strong wind gusts such that I have to tie down this whole mess down in order to keep it all together when not in use. The attached photo tells the whole story.

Hi! Thanks for being a long time Weber fan! We are sorry to hear the issues with the fit of your lid and rotisserie. We have reached out to you via email to troubleshoot and help get you back to grilling. Thanks!
I have had one for several years and use it fequently. I just gave one to our grandkids as a house warminggift.
I have been using my rotisserie for at least 15 years. Replaced the motor once otherwise great. Great for anything you can imagine but we especially like roasts.Almost always use wood chunks too, apple cherry,or mesquite. Haven't seen anyone mention ribs yet.A pain to stake and tie up,the effort is worth it!!!

This is an excellent rotisserie. It fill all the promises made for it and more. It is higher than we thought and the motor is very powerful. The only problem we had was moving our order out of the warehouse. There were three order numbers, I think, as somehow the the order never moved from the warehouse to FedEx and your excellent staff continually worked to find what had happened. Many calls to FedEx, the warehouse and Customer Service led to finally finding the package and moving it from the warehouse to FedEX to our house. Your rotisserie was in excellent condition and we were happy to use it. It seems no one knew what caused the problem. We are happy to have our rotisserie
This rotisserie attachment for the Weber BBQ works great. I am extremely happy with it. Easy to assemble. Could fit 2 or 3 Mary's 3.25 lb chickens on it.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
