This is perfect for making meals for me and my wife. I can manage to cook offset the side the hot coals are located. After cooking I can close the vents and snuff out the fire quickly. Cleaning the grill is easy, making me use the Premium Weber Smoky Joe even more.

Of my 4 Webers, my Smokey Joe sees the most use, by far. Cooking times accurately track the Weber recs. Glad I purchased the companion table while still being sold.

This is by far the worst functioning grill i have ever used in my 25 years of grilling. It has great features and looks amazing but it is worthless. I would rather grill on a filthy grill at a park in Oakland Ca than this. The side vents instead of the original bottom vents make it impossible to keep the coals going. Does Weber think the coals can breath by putting the vents above the coals? The air travels above the coals and out the top bypassing the coals entirely. This is a product of terrible engineering and Weber should be ashamed of themselves. I have been a Weber enthusiast my entire bbq career and grilled on nothing else but this product makes me rethink my decision to stand behind a company who would allow this grill to be sold. I am ashamed to have this grill in my arsenal of grilling products. It literally makes me look like I have never grilled in my life and I'm embarrassed to cook on it. It's an expensive paper weight.

I own many Weber grills and this is the only one I'm dissatisfied with. It seems like a great little portable grill, but it has problems. One is the cooking grate. It doesn't fit the bowl. It slips around and wont stay in place. The other is the tuck n carry lid lock/lid holder design. It's difficult to lock onto the lid handle, and difficult to get unlocked. I have a Jumbo Joe 18" with the same lid lock and it is much easier to use than this 14" model.

Just got mine Sunday, fired it up on Weds., chicken n chops, done to perfection w a minimum of coals, a doz. love it, quality little handy bbq. Set on table in driveway, like cooking on a stove.

My second kettle. Bought this because I wanted a Smokey Joe and for the color. The side dampers get a little bit of negativity and I could see it if you are using it to smoke but I have no problems with them as I only use this grill for grilling. Excellent design, the lid holder works perfectly, and Im happy every time I use this little guy. I bought it for camping and hiking but I use it several times a month at home when Im only grilling one or two pieces, several baked potatoes, or sides because it is a great fuel saver.

The venting is wacky. The air flow is above the charcoal so the fire doesn't get as hot as I would like.

Absolutely wonderful!! A half basket of coals and this little grill will keep extra hot all evening. I seared ribeye on it the first night and it was the best steak I have made, so far. If you already have a kettle or the performer, you know the quality that is put into their products and how well they perform. Do yourself a favor and get a Smokey Joe Premium, in whatever color you choose. I have the ivory one and it is beautiful.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
