I read a few of the reviews stating that the grill wouldn't keep hot and Charlie's that up to either inexperienced users or quality of charcoal etc.. Boy was I disappointed to find out they were totally right. Two-zone cooking can only hold stable (ish) if the exhaust vent is positioned directly over your coal bed and all vents are open wide. This leads to the issue of putting just enough charcoal in as required to reach your target temp which is impossible most of the time. But even then, the grill just doesn't get proper airflow as it isn't directly contacting the coal bed, it's flowing over the top of it. If you're doing direct grilling, even with a full chimney of coal the temps just seem to drop steadily after an initial spike. Odd stuff for sure. Its simply a super poor design having the intakes on the sides now that I think about it, but I really did want the color and the easy carry option that the premium comes with. I should have just gotten myself a Jumbo Joe, which I think I'll do soon. Luckily my Go Anywhere is here to stay and never lets me down.. This one is just going to look pretty in the garage or maybe go to my folks' place to use when I'm there, but I doubt the frustration I've had with it this far will make me want to break it out over there either. This has to be one of the only Weber products I've been disappointed with.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that you are disappointed with the temperature control of your new charcoal grill. Regarding the temperature and airflow of your grill, it is recommended to keep the bottom damper open all the way when grilling, and to use the top damper to control the temperature. If both dampers are kept all the way open, the fuel will burn fastest and hottest, and the more you close it, the cooler the temperatures will be. This is our 3rd Weber BBQ in this model. Started when we were RVing in 2000. Just the right size and the bale locks so charcoal doesn't spill when traveling. Wouldn't have any other brand!

I bought the premium smoke joe with the side vents and it sucks...There is no air flow and it's hard to keep the charcoal hot...WORST DESIGN EVER!!

I am new to grilling and find the 14" Smokey Joe Premium Charcoal Grill very easy to use. Putting it together was simple and the instructions were good. It's sturdy and small but fits quite a bit of food on the grill! There are tons of videos available on how to get the best results, increase or decrease heat, and get the most out of my grill. Love it!

I've used it 5-10 times since I got it. I've smoked,seared, and grilled with no issues. People got to learn that this grill requires a little more maintenance to keep it functional. It's a great downsize from the Master Touch when I'm cooking a small meal. Keep the bottom clean and airflow WILL keep your coals lit! Oxygen under your coal is key!

The 14" is the best size for small cooking. It has the space needed for a small family of 5 or less. It has the same quality material the original is, and the Weber brand to relay on!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
