I do alot of Big Cookouts , from briskets , Pork Butts, ribs etc, So i really Loved the grilling area on this Beast, i did do an alteration to mine> I added a temperature gauge about 9 inches below the top vent, i do alot of indirect cooking and wanted to know what my temp was above my grilling area, it worked Great i was able to control my heat at 250 over 9 hrs of cooking using the Snake method. I would highly recommend this Grill to anyone> i also own the 22 inch with the rotisserie attachment and it is also Great .
It isn't uncommon for me to have to grill or smoke enough for 20+ people. The Ranch Kettle makes it easy.

Used for first time this month. Large grilling surface allowed me to place 3 racks of ribs, chicken wings, legs and thighs, along with brats and smoked sausage. Wish it had a thermometer on the lid and ash wipes for clean up. But, really a great cooking grill. Easily assembled ..

I recently added a Ranch Kettle to existing 22.5 Kettle and 22.5 WSM. We host several events per year where the 22.5 WSM shines; however our gatherings had grown too large for the capacity of the WSM. Just like any kettle, the Ranch Kettle is an incredibly versatile grill. In a month of having it, I have 3 cooks on it; including a 4th of July party. First cook was ribs (sorry no pics of set up). Not bad, I had to get accustomed to the vent/damper control. Ran a little hot, overall good ribs and easy to use. 2nd cook was wings and thighs (pics attached). Crispy skin and juicy meat; they were as good or better than any chicken I have made with my 22.5 kettle (with or without Vortex or Sear N' Slow accessories). Temp control is very easy after 1st cook. 3rd cook was 4th of July (40 adults); 49-lb whole hog (head and feet removed to fit in cooking area), followed by chicken wings (no pic of wings, got too busy with hog). About 6 hours to cook the hog. Just before pulling it, prepped more hot coals. Removed hog to rest and added hot coals to bring up temp for chicken. 1 hour later, we had 50 whole wings with crispy skin and sticky pull off bone meat. Suggestions: 1) Line bowl with foil, easy clean-up. 2) Make 2 charcoal baskets out of expanded metal. 3) Make a template of the cooking area so you know what will fit in the indirect area (see pic). This is an amazing cooker. I highly recommend for anyone that needs to cook groups of 8 or more people.

I bought mine in 2001.. a place was closing the doors and was able to purchase my Ranch Kettle for 228$ at 90% mark down. It's been an awesome piece of equipment to use for many occasions.. I have 4 Weber's in total 2 charcoal and 2 gas 3 burner..I highly recommend WEBER.. they'll last a lifetime!

I own many Weber products and have not been dissatisfied in anyway. This cooker is an absolute beast. From smoking low and slow to searing at high temps this bbq does it all. Unmatched quality and warranty. Don't read any more reviews. Just buy it.

I have one of the original models that does not have an ash catcher nor the lid mechanism to slide it over. I have a big green you know what and I still use this unit almost exclusively! The one drawback is that now that I am in need of a third grill surface, the cost for the grill or the grate is well over $200 each.. so take care of these components.

I've had my Ranch Kettle for about 2 months now and wow what a grill ! I'm mainly using mine for smoking because of the size I can fit a couple of briskets on it no problem. I'm going for two turkeys this Thanksgiving and I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem . The one thing that I dont understand is why they dont build these grills with a thermometer. They also dont include any charcoal baskets. But all in all a very good investment. Very happy.

I have owned 2 Ranch Kettles so I think I know what I am talking about. Got this crazy idea to buy an offset firebox smoker thinking how cool it would be. Bought it, used it several times, and now I have gone back to smoking, grilling and cooking on the Ranch Kettle. I can do anything on that that you can do on a competitive grill. Going to trash the smoker and chalk it up as a bad idea gone wrong!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
