Received as a gift for Christmas so I am just getting started good and figuring the oven out. First two pizzas were good but far from perfect. Didn't have a turning peel but ordered one and it is a must have. Third pizza still not perfect but much better and easier. The dough seems to be everything and I am still trying different recipes. My neighbor has an Ooni and has it all figured out so I know what I want and will get there.
Fires up quickly and gets to 900 degrees in less than 20 minutes.
We love our new Omni Kari pizza oven. It's been so fun to make pizzas at home with friends and family. Our kids love helping with toppings and everything has been so delicious. We used a combo of charcoal and wood and it seems to give it the right flavor while staying very hot.
Our Ooni Karu has been a challenge with great rewards. We are novices even teaching our son on Christmas Eve how to use the Ooni we produced one dozen pizzas for our family dinner. The oven is so easy to clean and care for. The best features brought our family together having fun eating excellent Neapolitan pizza!
Best investment! We are making Saturday's family pizza night!!
I'm new to this but the oven is well made and looks great. The handle for the rear cover arrived with a crack in it. I processed the issue through the warranty section in the Ooni site on a Sunday night. I received confirmation the following morning, New Years Day that a replacement was in route. Service like this is Bar None!
So far so good. I am not sure the reason but I had problems with the oven getting gas from the propane tank. This may have been due to the oven being outside not in freezing weather but very cold weather in the 40s. I have gotten it to work now by placing, the gas attachment inside for 24 hours. My guess is that a valve might've been stuck with the cold weather. I am not sure. Other than this it has been a pleasure to use with lots of potential.:+1:
I think it is impossible as a rookie to make a decent pizza with this oven. To launch the pizza is tricky and I can guarantee that there will be a lot of burn on the stone from toppings tumbling off your pizza. That causes that the pizza will be black underneath and will taste bitter. There is not a lot of room to maneuver and once a topping fell off you can't retrieve it and prevent it from getting burned. It is also impossible once the stone is burned to clean it. To just flip it and have a new clean stone after the next round is not true. Once the stone is burned it is impossible to remove the burns from the surface. To produce a decent pizza takes a long time and several tries and I not talking 5 or 10 tries more like 20-30. there is a lot of cleaning involved and if you use propane a lot of this too (for pre heating). I would not buy it again. I don't know if there are better models on the market but this one is not worth the money. The 12" is just super tiny and the 16" is too expensive.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
