Excellent for using on the grill. Not only on, but in it. Have no worries using it inside, while cooking other items.
Love this saucepan!! We use this pan all the time and absolute love it
I received this sauce pan for free from Napoleon for testing purposes. The construction of this pan matches the high quality I have come to expect from Napoleon. Everything feels very durable without being excessively thick or heavy. The handle is long enough to keep your hand comfortable away from the heat source when moving the pan. Having pour spouts on both sides allows for versatility, which is especially helpful for a left-handed person, such as myself. If I had one complaint here it would be that the handle on the lid is a little bit small, and has to be pinched instead of being able to loop a finger around the handle. I was able to season the pan without any difficulty. In the few times I have used it I have not noticed any hot spots, and it seems to retain heat well. Overall, I think this will be a great addition to both my kitchen and grilling setups.
Full disclosure - Napoleon graciously offered me this beautiful Cast Iron Sauce Pan (with a lid!) to try out and give an honest review. If there was ever any worry about this review being authentic you can officially throw that out of the window because this sauce pan PERFORMS! I recently used it on my stovetop in the kitchen to test whether it could evenly distribute heat for a thick sauce I was making. Not only did it retain heat exceptionally well (on a medium temp), the hefty walls of the pan allowed the sauce to cook without it being burnt. Another great feature is its versatility. You can utilize this pan inside of your home, on the grill, or even in a campfire. When you hold the pan in your hand you can immediately tell it has a presence without it being overwhelmingly heavy or hard to manage and handle. All in all, I give this a perfect score and if you are on the fence, looking for a cast iron sauce pan, I highly suggest you look no further than this one!
As part of the Napoleon testing program, I recently had a chance to test this sauce pan. Short story, I'm impressed. Long story, this is a hefty, well-made, high-quality pan suitable for cooking and holding all sorts of glazes and bastes for indoor and outdoor cooking. Inside, I used it to hold a sticky and sweet glaze for an oven-roasted Chinese BBQ pork shoulder. Think sugar, soy, mirin, ginger, garlic, hoisin, and more; ingredients that will scorch if not held gently. Outside, I used the pan with my Phantom Prestige 500 to keep an herb butter baste warm while I cooked a beef roast on the rotisserie. In both cases, the pan performed admirably; it had excellent heat retention and distribution and cleanup was surprisingly easy. My only caveat is a minor one: some people may not like or be able to handle the weight of this pan.
This is a solid pan, really holds heat well. I was able to add cold dumplings into boiling water and the pan held so much heat it was back to boiling in no time. It is all cast iron so the handle and lid will get hot, watch out. The only downside is I was a bit disappointed in how it pours, a lot of liquid ended up running down the side of the pan. But overall it works well and I can't wait to bring it out camping or for heating up a side while grilling.

I acquired this pot about a month ago. I primarily got it to warm sauces and makes sauces when BBQing. I quickly began to find more and more uses for it. Although not it's intended use I've used it as a small Dutch oven due to the high quality fit and finish of the lid. It heats evenly and performs well for most any use. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for pot that covers all the bases.
I received this item for free from Napoleon for testing purposes. The saucepan is well-crafted, designed for even heat distribution, which ensures perfect cooking every time. It is very solid and worked well for simmering some homemade barbecue sauce I made for a batch of ribs. The only issue is that the description online says it is "porcelain-coated cast iron" but it is not porcelain coated. This should be corrected to be accurate. This pan is uncoated cast iron.
I received the saucepan for free from Napoleon for testing purposes. At first, I was concerned that it was smaller than I had hoped. But I'm happy to report that I have found some great uses for this size. It is perfect for making baked beans or chili for the two of us. I've also used it to heat up my favorite wing sauce—a sticky combo of barbeque sauce and jelly. The pan is well-weighted and holds heat evenly. The preseasoning is also very nice. Cleanup after making a sticky sauce was surprisingly easy.

I recently receive the Napoleon Cast Iron Sauce Pan, and it has quickly become an essential part of my kitchen arsenal. This 2-liter saucepan is incredibly versatile and perfect for a variety of cooking tasks, from making sauces and sides to searing, browning, and caramelizing. It also works great on the side-burner of a Napoleon grill! One of the standout features is its excellent heat retention and distribution. The cast iron construction ensures that heat is evenly spread, which is crucial for achieving perfect cooking results every time. Whether I'm using it on the barbecue, stovetop, or even in the oven, this pan performs flawlessly. The handle provides a comfortable grip, making it easy to maneuver, even when the pan is full. I also appreciate the integrated easy pour spouts, which make serving sauces and gravies a breeze without any mess. Another great aspect is the included lid, which helps retain heat and moisture, ensuring that my dishes stay warm and flavorful. The pan's generous 7.5-inch diameter is perfect for preparing meals for my family, and its durable construction means it will last for years to come. The only negatives I can think of are that the packaging did not mention if it was pre-seasoned or not, nor are there any care/cleaning instructions included. So, if you are not familiar with cast iron cookware, be sure to look into that before using this. Overall, the Cast Iron Sauce Pan is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. Its versatility, durability, and excellent performance make it well worth the investment, and you know you're getting a high-quality product when you buy a Napoleon product. Highly recommended!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
