I have two Santoku knifes from a another globally well-known knife brand and received the Santoku Knife (55212) from the Napoleon Tester Team in late June. Being it was a "promotional product" to be used for a testing group I actually had low expectations. However, soon after its arrival, that changed. This knife has quickly become my go-to tool in the kitchen. One of the first things I noticed is the impeccable balance. It feels perfectly weighted in my hand, making slicing, dicing, and chopping a breeze. The ergonomic design allows for effortless handling, reducing fatigue during long meal prep sessions. Another standout feature is the knife's ability to maintain a sharp edge. Even after several weeks of regular use, it remains as sharp as the day I got it. This is a huge plus, as I don't have to worry about constant sharpening. The precision of the blade ensures clean cuts every time, which is essential for achieving professional-quality results. Overall, this Santoku knife has exceeded my expectations. Its balance and sharpness make it an indispensable tool in my kitchen. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their cooking experience!
I received this knife about a month ago. It was packaged very nice in it's own box. The knife itself has a good weight and feels well balanced. I waited to use it on a tomato from my garden and finally got to use it. The blade cut right through the skin under the weight of the knife without crushing the tomato. I have another brand knife of high quality and this knife rivals it in many ways. A long term comparison will determine the wear over time. This is my go to kitchen knife for everyday cutting. I mostly cut vegetables with this knife but imagine meat will give it no trouble.
The Santoku Knife from Napoleon is an excellent all-purpose knife for the kitchen. The balance is excellent. The knife has a good feel in the hand when using and is sturdy in construction. It can be used for vegetables or meats--cuts with ease. The only downside might be the heavier weight of the knife.
I received this knife as a gift about a month ago and couldn't wait to use it. I wanted to test it on something that typically is a pain to cut. So I waited for the first tomatoes of the season from my garden. Upon opening the knife it was well packaged and protected from damage. The knife feels well balanced and not to weighty. With no effort the weight of the knife alone cut through the tomato skin without smashing the tomato. I have no doubt cutting meat will have the same result. I have chopped different vegetables so far and find the design works well for this task. This is my new daily knife and we will see how it holds up over time.
The Napoleon brand themselves handed me this nifty slicer for a test run, and let me tell you, it's been a culinary adventure! For the past three weeks, this blade has seen action in the great watermelon divide, the precision crust-ectomy for kiddo sandwiches, and the artful dicing of meats and veggies. Color me shocked—it's become my go-to gadget, even with my trusty Cutco arsenal and an array of meat-crafting cleavers at my disposal. The heft? Spot on. It's like shaking hands with reliability itself. If you're on the prowl for a dependable kitchen comrade, consider this your next purchase.
I received this knife as part of a promotional from Napoleon. For starters, the knife arrived extremely well packaged, almost overpackaged to be honest, but I was impressed that they invested so much into a small feature. The knife is ascetically pleasing, well balanced, and well branded with even putting the logo on the handle. I have two similar knives from other brands and this Napoleon knife outperforms both of them. It is incredibly sharp. I grill meat on a regular basis and this knife is also easier to hold and has better balance than my other knives do. The weight is very evenly distributed throughout the knife. I will warn you, my wife and I have both barely touched our fingers while using this knife and both of us ended up with a cut. My other knives have never been that sharp to cut us which such little pressure.

This knife has been a dream to use. It fits quite well in my hand, with a reassuring heft and balance and solid grip. Whether chopping crisp vegetables, firm or slightly soft vine-ripened tomatoes, or slicing through medium rare marinated flank steak, the super sharp blade makes an easy job of the task. When that distant day arrives, it would be helpful to know the bevel angle of each side of the blade (10, 12, 15 degrees) so that I can properly sharpen it back to its out-of-the-box condition. Overall, I'm very happy with this Santoku knife. It certainly lives up to the quality of a Napoleon labeled product. Kudos!
This knife slices smoothly through everything. I cut meat, potatoes and even tomatoes with it. It is well-balanced and sits well even in my small hands. It is constructed smoothly which makes cleaning easy.
This knife is an all-around winner! It easily slices through meat, potatoes, and even tomatoes without squishing the skin. I have small hands, and I really liked the size of this powerful knife. It is very well-balanced and gives you great leverage without having to apply much pressure when slicing. It is also constructed smoothly, which makes cleaning easy and quick. It handles better than any chef's knife I have ever used. Strongly recommend!
This item was sent free from Napoleon for product testing and an unbiased review. I have 5 different santoku knives in my kitchen and this blade slices as well as the best of them. It has the thinest blade (out of the the 5 santoku I have) that's razor sharp. It also has a robust handle that fills the hand well. Slight downside, this gives it a balance point further rear ward than I prefer (about an inch behind the start of the handle). I would also like to see a protective sleeve come with it to help protect it in a drawer if I don't want to keep it in the original box. These aren't big enough issued to knock a star though, just my preference. Trimming fat and slicing chicken breast was uneventful since it cuts clean through, even at the thickest portions, with one motion. Nothing stuck to the blade with the deep dimples. Overall, it was very easy to use, easy to clean, and no edge rolling despite being a very thin grind. This blade just became my go to grill prep blade!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
