Napoleon Ceramic Casserole Dish - 70151

This casserole dish has made a invaluable addition to my cooking tools to make masterpieces over the JetFire flame of my Prestige. Looking forward to becoming more creative with the dishes I prepare. Thanks for another fine product!

I've had this for about a month and it is now my go to for roasting veggies on my Napoleon Grill. I have never been disappointed with any of Napoleon's products whether it be their grills, accessories, or fireplaces. The Ceramic Casserole Dish is no exception as it is made out of premium materials and is built to last a lifetime.

This is a gorgeous pan both in looks and performance. It looks beautiful on the table as a serving dish and cooks food better than any other dish of its type we I have ever owned. The food we've cooked in it always browns beautifully and looks absolutely delicious. Like others, we've noticed that the lid does not fit as snugly as one would think it should, but everything comes out to perfection - both with and without the lid. One slight caveat: it is not as non-stick as we thought it would be. A light spray with your favorite nonstick cooking spray easily solves that though. This beautiful pan is a welcome addition to our home and will certainly see a lot of use!

I received this as part of the Napoleon tester program. I have used it with success to roast a whole chicken as well as to bake a breakfast casserole. Very easy cleanup, no issues with baked on food. I fully expected to have a cleanup nightmare following the sugary base on my French toast casserole. I have not tried it in my grill but will do so soon. Both times I used this without the lid. Con: This product came with no instructions do's or don'ts, nor sample recipes. I think that would be most beneficial to new owners. Or at least a link to recipes on the website. I had to search for those myself. Hence the 4 star review. Otherwise it would have been a 5. I look forward to using it for more recipes. With only 2 in my family, I see myself using it when I have additional guests. It is quite large and I've yet to find a good reachable storage space.

We have had our ceramic casserole dish for a bit over a month. In that time we have used it several times. While I was initially a bit concerned that it was ceramic, I was wrong. It is very heavy with a wonderful surface. We have cooked baked beans, brussel sprouts, mac and cheese and squash. We have never had anything stick to the surface and it cooks very evenly with no hot or cold spots. There is only one issue, when we are cooking several different things, the question becomes who gets to use the casserole dish, my wife in our kitchen or me on my Napoleon. It's on my agenda to cook short ribs on my grill. If they are anything but perfect, I'll update my review.

The Ceramic Casserole Dish exceeded my expectations! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sturdy construction and elegant design. The dish feels substantial without being too heavy. I recently received the 70151 Ceramic Casserole Dish from Napoleon for testing. When I unboxed the dish, my thoughts drifted between using it on the grill or in the oven, since New England winters can be long, and we don't always cook outside. I decided to do three recipes to give this dish a thorough shake down. First up 2 small oven roasters in the oven, next Chicken Thighs & Sweet Italian Sausage with Small Red Beans on the Grill, and finally Gnocchi and Fresh Tomatoes with Fresh Mozzarella and Basil, also on the grill. On the grill I started with a coating of olive oil in the dish over fairly low heat. I browned some diced onion and garlic while I roasted some bell peppers. . I used a pan of wood chips to add a smoky flavor the to peppers and other ingredients before I covered the casserole. I was a little nervous about browning in a ceramic dish, since they are typically not designed for cooking over direct heat, so I kept the heat low under the dish and used more indirect heat. Everything browned up nicely. Pros: Beautiful dish with an easy to clean surface. Heats evenly and transfers enough heat to sauté onions and garlic. Large enough to hold two small roaster. Cons: only one minor note - the lid does not fit snugly. Although it seems to seal in the moisture there is side-to-side movement making you think that is not seated properly.

Put away those old glass baking dishes, this casserole dish is awesome. Cook your favorite roasted vegetables, your favorite meats or pasta. This casserole dish really holds the heat and is super easy to clean up. This is a must have for everyone's kitchen to use in the oven or on the grill. You won't regret your purchase.

Made one of my favorite dishes in the casserole dish. It was amazing! We usually have difficulty getting the potatoes cooked enough while not overcooking the chicken in our other casserole dish. The potatoes were soft and some crispy while the chicken was cooked perfectly. It didn't seem to stick to the pan either. I was very impressed with the quality.

Received this last month and have used a handful of times, works great. Highly recommend.
