My wife bought this smoker for me several months ago. This was the first real smoker I have had. I fired this thing up a couple of weekends ago and did a brisket. I was used to my other small one so It took longer to smoke than I was used to. I have a lot to learn as far as regulating the damper and the smoke stack but overall I loved it. It is well made. I am doing some ribs today so we will see how this goes.
Stout construction. All that you need and none of what you don't.
To be honest this is larger than I needed. I liked that it was made of heavier metal than most other smokers I looked at. It takes quit a bit of charcoal and wood to keep the temp up. Which would be ok if using its full capacity but when cooking for 2-4 people you'll use use more charcoal and wood than if you had a smaller one. Other than that I'm satisfied.
Great quality smoker, thick metal that does not bent or twist like the other smokers. Keeps the heat in, easy to control the temperature and a quality built Product. Make you feel like a Real Pit Master!
# 1 I have had this about a year now ,and I just don't like it ,I had six 5lb pork butts on for 13 hours ,with oak ,hickory logs and kingsford charcoal ,the meat was super rare and had to finish in oven.I have been smoking meat on a smaller brinkman for over 20 years. #2 my next complaint is the first time I used it the paint on the fire box burned off now it will rust faster ,#3 takes a ton of wood to keep temp @220 for 10 hours.I THINK I MAY SELL IT .
I purchased this smoker in March and have used it about a dozen times so far. It is easy to use and easy to maintain the temperature. I smoke meat, fish, vegetables and even cheese and everything comes out perfectly cooked and with that sweet smoke flavor.
I love my Oklahoma Joe offset smoker. Its taken my bbq to a much higher level. I can now produce tender, juicy Beef Briskets and Pulled Pork complete with smoke rings that rival what you see on TV. Its a sturdy unit and if you take care of it properly, oil it with Olive Oil and keep it covered, it will last quite a few years. There may be more expensive offset smokers available, but at this price point, the Oklahoma Joe is tough to beat..
We really enjoy this grill. Would recommend to everyone who loves to grill.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
