A Marriage of Tradition and Innovation
The Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet Shokunin incorporates the time-honored elements of the traditional Kamado-style barbecue, with innovative new design features for greater cooking flexibility and ease. The grill body depth has been extended to create more gentle, even heat for smoking. The rectangular shape is ideal for cooking with an offset fire, and four strategically placed shutters provide more precise temperature control. This innovative new stainless steel Kamado design makes grilling, roasting, and smoking possible, all on the same grill. The flavor possibilities are endless.
Two Full Inches of Insulation
Heavy insulation between two layers of stainless steel makes the Shokunin wildly efficient—twelve pounds of charcoal can maintain 225° for 65 hours. And still the grill's exterior stays cool to the touch.
Versatility From Three Levels of Fire
With your food on the top level, you can build your fire at three different levels below—depending which position you choose, the Shokunin Kamado Grill can be a smoker for barbecue, an oven for roasting, or a grill to sear steak. Our Shokunin encourages endless experimentation.
Control Fire, Heat & Smoke
The cross-ventilation system lets you feed oxygen to the fire on one side, while drawing heat and smoke over food. With two vents at top and two vents at the bottom, this innovative Kamado design allows for precise control while cooking.
Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel. Built to Last
Rigorous testing. Harsh environments. This Shokunin Kamado Grill is built for the long run using 304 stainless steel, and it sits in a durable oiled ipe wood frame. A Sunbrella cover is included to protect the grill when not in use.

Full 2 Year Warranty
For 2 years from the date of original installation, this warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any part of the product that proves to be defective in materials or workmanship.
Limited 25 Year Warranty
For 25 years from the date of original installation, Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet will repair or replace the following parts if they prove to be defective in materials or workmanship: the cast stainless steel Dragon Burners (and/or cast bronze Dragon Burners), the cooking grates, and the fabricated stainless steel sheet metal structure of the product. This warranty excludes discoloration and surface corrosion, and it excludes labor.
Limited 5 Year Warranty
For 5 years from the date of original installation, Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet will repair or replace the following parts if they prove to be defective in materials or workmanship: the stainless steel burners, infrared burners, cooktop burners, gas valves, manifold pipes and electronic control boards. This warranty excludes discoloration and surface corrosion, and it excludes labor.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
