It's an awesome little smoker, it's so easy to use and the flavor and results you get is the same as an offset. Not having a front shelf is a little bit of a bummer, but life goes on. It's a really good smoker.
I've had this for about 4 months now and love it. There are a few things I wish it had (dampener to control smoke, and an expanded metal tray for the ash pan to limit waste) but overall an excellent concept and execution!
I've only had this a month but I'm loving the way it cooks! There is a learning curve that I'm getting down but once you get that it is great. I'm trying different charcoal to find something that lasts the longest.
I used a offset, ugly drum and a webber kettle for over a decade. They all worked and worked great. I decided to spend the money (and it is slot for me) on this grill/smoker. It has changed my life, I can grill and smoke meat all year and not worry about flame ups for flame outs. I have some salmon, steaks, brisket, pork butt, jerky and so many othe meats and vegetables. I keep it clean and covered, the master built cover is top quality. I use the MB fire starters and their lump and it cannot be beat. Great unit, quality is good and it will make an average bbq guy into a pitmaster.
After 9 years of my basic charcoal I decided to get the gravity 1050. After searching high and low and looking at different grills I seen this grill and realized it was for me. The perfect combination or the charcoal grilling I love and the smoking capabilities I've been loathing for. What a perfect combination. My first week with my grill was on vacation so it was such a perfect time to try a ton of things. So far I've cooked burgers, smoked ribs, smoked chicken wings, smoked and grilled spatchcock chicken , reverse sear ribeyes to die for btw and a 14hour smoke on my first brisket ! Which came out delicious and today just smoked and grilled some delicious salmon. Pizza is next! Needless to say may other meals and new things to try coming soon. The capability of being able to set my temp and watch the meat probe temps is amazing. It really allows you to learn easier and get a better feel of whats going on in the grill for those low and slow cooks. You can get all the benefits from that slow cook and crank it up to get that delicious seer/ charcoal crisp it's just perfect! The app is really awesome as well I use the bluetooth pair right to my grill and I can be good distances away from my grill and manage and see the temp of the grill and my probes no problems. It's almost to easy, can I call it Luxury Cooking?! I've been so excited to try new recipes and take my grilling and smoking experience to new places.Being able to mix and try different coals and woods is also a fun experience. The best part for me is being able to share these meals with my family and inviting people over. I love to watch there faces when they take those first bites. I can't wait to spend this summer grilling and smoking ! Thanks Masterbuilt for designing this awesome grill. I look forward to many more seasons of cooking on this awesome grill/smoker!

I replaced a cheap electric smoker with this. So happy!
I was on the fence about buying a Gravity Series grill but I'm sure glad I did. I had a couple hiccups in the beginning but Masterbuilt was on the ball and took care of them right away. I have been using my Gravity Series 800 for over a month now and have 30+ cooks on it from quick Burgers to a low/slow Brisket and everything has came out amazing. I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews as if you're someone who loves to grill/smoke then I highly recommend this grill!!

I am just getting into slow and low cooking and wanted something easy to use but also had the option of being useful for a quick weeknight dinner. This setup answers both those requirements. I love how easy it is to get the fire built and then set temperature and time and walk away and not have to worry about ruining the meal. I've done some long overnight cooks and the temperature stays consistent throughout the cook. Plenty of accessories I am looking for to using as the summer grilling season really gets going.
Love that masterbuilt came out with a digital charcoal smoker. You get all the great smoke taste you want from the charcoal or wood you use with the ease of the digital temperature settings. Only issue I had is my fan went out within 7 months of purchase. Masterbuilt is supposed to be sending me a replacement wiring kit but it's on back order. It's frustrating because I'm missing prime grilling season and can't wait to get back to smoking and grilling
I couldn't wait to try the Masterbuilt 560 out. I'd been using the pellet tubes in a gas grill for several years and had gotten good results, but not great. I bought the 560 before the 1050 was available or I'd have gone bigger. The 560 isn't a slouch on cooking area, but it's always nice to have that extra room for when you need it. I've tried lump charcoal and several types of briquettes. I tend to stick with the briquettes just for ease of use. They're not kidding when they say how quick this thing gets up to temp! Low and slow or hit 700 degrees in minutes… There's no doubt I recommend this smoker, it's been very versatile. We've done salmon (all the time!), pizza, burgers, steaks, brats, turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Easter, fish from the lake, peppers and fixins for salsa, and many more. Now I just need to figure out dessert! Get one now, they are awesome :)

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
