I've had it about a year now works great. Only thing I would change is the vent in the back it lets rain in when not covered
I bought my 1050 about a year ago. While I love the fact that it can hold temperature well, and has a wide heat range you definitely have to find tricks and make mods to it to work to its full potential. Out of the box this is an ok a grill but has plenty of room for improvement.
I've put the Gravity through some grave tasks, and I must say "this is one of the best culinary devices that I have purchased!" The idea is very novel and effective, gravity fed charcoal cooking device. I own a pellet grill, gas grill, smoker, and kettle (charcoal) grill. Let's clear the air, "There's no device on the market that will completely do EVERYTHING that a flame keeper desires". It depends on your mood, members, and menu (3Ms). This Gravity series is very close to a "Swiss Army Knife", you can count on it when you need it, as long as you know its limitations. Pros: Reaches desired temps reasonably quick. Great BBQ flavor (Charcoal, Wood, Smoke). Electronic functions, probes, controls great. Versatility BBQ, Grill, Sear, Smoke. Con: Air control (pre-set due to back opening), should be able to completely starve air when needed. Cleaning a little involved (not too bad, but enough to mention). Must start off with clean inside if going to high temps (above 400). Drip pan assembly flimsy. Wifi connection not always reliable. I definitely plan to upgrade to a newer and bigger model, when I can justify doing so.
Very happy with the results, first time smoker and this made things easy. Quality over time may not hold up well but works great now.
I was ready to upgrade my smoker and decided to get the Gravity 560 so I could also ditch my gas grill. I've made burgers, ribs, steaks, chicken (grilled and smoked), and the best brisket I've ever made. So happy I made this purchase. I have small kids who like grilled food and not having to mind the fire as much allows me to cook outside without ignoring them.
The MBGS560 is a fantastic charcoal smoker. You get the ease of a pellet smoker, with the flavor of a stick burner. As for using the 560 as a grill, there isn't anything that comes remotely close to the flavor of the Gravity Series. Be sure to follow the owners manual, follow Masterbuilt on social media, and find those Gravity Series owner groups on FB, Twitter, YouTube and etc to take full advantage of the Gravity Series!
I love my MB 560 It's extremely easy to grill and smoke with. I was truly amazed to how the thick steaks sear at the 700 degrees. I can grill multiple steaks at one time, and It reaches 700 degrees in less than 18 minutes. Bob Austin
I've had my 1050 since May 2020, and cook on it all the time (3-4 times per week). Pros: Easy smoking & Grilling Great control of temp & smoke Adaptable to many dishes Cons: Build quality could be improved slightly & make a big difference. (Wheels, Paint, coatings) App needs improvement
I purchased this because it was unique compared to the pellet smokers. It does not disappoint after you understand the temp nuances of the grilling area (every grill has hot spots)
I've had this grill for a month and it has worked great! I've cooked ribs, briskets, wings, fish and everything. I've smoked and grilled and did combination on it and this thing delivers! So glad I decided to get this grill. I love smoking my foods, but hated the constant watching on my old charcoal setup. With this grill, you get the same old charcoal taste, but with the advancements of an auto feed style system.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
