I've had offsets smokers, Vertical propane smokers, pellet smokers gas drills and more. At times I looked like a grill superstore. Cause Not one could do it all. Pellets don't get hot enough to sear. Gas don't smoke. So I always had more than 1. This grill does it all. I did a brisket already and it was great! But didn't hesitate for a second to fire it up for some hot dogs. Steaks were great as well. I honestly couldn't be more happy with the purchase of the Masterbuilt 1050 gravity grill.
I bought this grill as an alternative to the pellet style because I really like the true charcoal flavors in my food. I also love that I can monitor the grill temperature and the food temperature form the phone app. For the price point I can't imagine a better deal!
I bought this about a year ago..love it every day..works Great..easy to operate..
Love the gravity feed charcoal. holds just about 15 lbs of charcoal at a time. gives GREAT smoke flavor, just put some wood chunks in the ash pan or mix in the charcoal hopper. Cons, the factory hopper grate seems very wide for standard charcoal briquettes. Used a grill grate to cover the gaps to slow the charcoal consumption rate. only complaint is the wifi range is poor due to the antenna location under the metal shelf. Over all very happy with smoker and its set up,
My family bought this for my husband for his birthday and we use it at least once a week, if not more for everything from smoking to grilling. Everything just always ends up tasting amazing.
Got this for Father's Day I use it for smoking, baking, and grilling. My only complaint is the reliability of the wifi connection And the temp prob is not 100% accurate Makes as much smoke as you want
I've owned several smokers and this is the best one I've ever owned. It is easy to use and the charcoal flavor is the best.
This is the best Grill i have ever bought, it is now 14 months old and not one problem ever, and it grills like it was new, and also makes me the Master Chef. And I mean that, people just gawk at the food I make. and also tell me I am an awesome cook!
My review of the Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 Assembly and pre seasoning..Grilling/Smoking / Cleaning Assembly When I received the box it was un damaged after un boxing there was no damage to any of the parts. It was well packed. I laid out the all the parts. Started assembly per manual was really easy to follow step by step. The only thing that should be mentioned is that you need a long magnetic Phillips screwdriver because it will come in handy when putting the grill handle and bottom hopper. Make sure you tighten all the screws that hold the bottom shelf before you put the back wheels on. You also might need a rubber mallet to tap the bottom heat shield in place. I suggest wearing some type of gloves when putting the manifold on it's really oily. Every thing else was real easy only took 2hrs to put together.. Setting up the Bluetooth and WiFi went smoothly. But you can only use the app or the controller don't use both. I tried it and it shut the controller down. If your using an Android you might have some trouble connecting..The other thing I noticed was if you open the lid it disconnected the Bluetooth so you have to reconnect by pushing the Bluetooth button it connected really quick. So if you open the lid a lot be sure to reconnect before you walk a way. Tip have your phone or iPad with you want you open the lid. Seasoning: I season as the manual..start up was really easy places the starter squares and lit them after about 2 minutes closed the 2 doors and started the unit set temperature, this thing comes up to temperature fast took about 5 minutes to get to 400. On the second part of the seasoning restarted the smoker..and set it 350° after about 40 minutes I did a touch test seem that the charcoal chute and the lid were hot to the touch so I wouldn't put anything on them. After shutdown I wait about 2 hr the charcoal chute was still warm to the touch..and in the chamber it about 160° you'll have to wait till the next day to empty the ash can. Shutdown When putting in the slides make double sure you push them in all the way. If not you'll get an air leak and your coals will continue to burn. Then shutdown the controller and wait till everything is cold. Grilling So far I've grilled Hamburgers and Steaks at 450° from lightning the starter to getting up to temperature took about 15 minutes, this thing is fast. I used B&B Charcoal Briquettes natural oak with 2 wood chunks in the ash bin. Temperature rise fast past the set temperature by 15-20° but did settle back down to 455°.within a few minutes i also found out that you can open the grill lid to cool it down to your set temperature and the pid control will take over and keep the temperature with 5°..you can hear the fan throttle down to help maintain that temperature. I can say food seems to cook a little faster. But the taste is awesome with that hint of charcoal and smoke. Even if your opening and closing the grill lid the temperature rebounded fast. Between pre seasoning and actually cooking I still have 3/4 of the hopper full so it's not too bad on burning up the charcoal. It cools down fairly fast I'd say with 1 hr you can put the cover on but this is in fairly cool weather, might take a little longer in hotter weather. Smoking Round 2. Smoked some ribs at 275° filled hopper I used B&B Charcoal Briquettes natural oak and 3 chunks of wood. Smoked ribs for 4 hours with a pan of water..ribs came out moist with good bark. Taste was delicious a hint of charcoal and smoke. At the end of the smoke charcoal was only down about 7". Charcoal grate wasn't modified. The temperature stayed between 274-275 for the whole 4 1/2 hours.. If you wanted more smoke rather then putting wood chunks in the ash can ever 3-4 hrs you could layer them by laying down a bed of charcoal the 2-3 chunks of wood another layer of charcoal and 2-3 chunks of wood until the hopper is full.. Cleaning I also suggest you clean your grill after every use due to all the fat juices dripping on the manifold to keep flair ups down. Run grill at 500-600 to burn off any remaining grease then wiped everything down.. Use a grill brush on the grates to knock off the the smaller pieces, then scrape the manifold on to the drip tray. I used foil on the drip tray for easy clean up. Remove foil and replace with new foil. Then Spray the grill plates manifold and side walls with olive oil or wipe them down. This grill/smoker is Awesome it's real easy to maintain and smoke or grill for the price it does a great job for what ever you want todo, I would recommend this to anyone..so if your looking for a great grill/smoker this would be the one to get.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
