Purchased July 2020. So far, this unit has been AWESOME! Able to hold temperatures with no problems.

The 1050 is excellent and does everything that it is advertised to do. It is also simple to use and operate.

After owning several different grills and smokers, electric, gas, charcoal, wood, vertical, barrel conversions - everything ever built to cook meat, I have to say that the Masterbuilt 1050 beats them all, hands down. Nothing even comes close. It sports a quality build, heats up fast, maintains temperature, and delivers absolutely perfect results each and every time. I have never experienced such consistency before. I have never had so much control over the cooking and smoking process. I have never been able to deliver such delicious and flavorful foods to my family and friends. The ease of operation is remarkable and the app allows one to monitor everything while engaged in other activities. The Masterbuilt 1050 truly is a game changer. The Masterbuilt gravity series 1050 is the simply best smoker/grill that I have ever owned and I heartily recommend it.

I use my 560 to cook almost everything my family and I eat!

Before the MB 560, I had been using an MB LP vertical cabinet smoker. Through that experience, I have learned that (1) I like cooking BBQ (2) family and friends like eating BBQ and (3) if possible, I wanted to add flavor complexity through a wood fire (but, I also know that I don't often have the time to tend to a stick burner). In short, after a lot of research, the MB 560. Though I understand (and appreciate) the versatility of this grill, I generally use this for BBQ using lump (and wood chunks for smoke). Bottom line: the flavor is there. Moreover, add the rotisserie, simple temperature control, and vibrant user groups - and I've found this to be a great smoker.

I bought this 10 months ago and have been happy with the way it cooks but 3 months after buying it the controller started acting up. The grill will shutoff uncommanded for no reason, so I have to keep a close eye on it. Too bad

I've had this grill/smoker for about a year now. I love the concept, and I am happy I purchased. However, the quality just isn't there, this isn't something you're going to have for 10 years. I understand these were manufactured to a price point, (admittedly if they cost a few hundred more I might not have taken the plunge on a completely new design). However I would be open to a "premium" model that was built better. After only a year of smoking/grilling once or twice a week on average, I've got every door switch hot-wired, because none of them work. I added seals to both doors on the chimney because they didn't seal anymore. I gave up on the factory controller and bought a fireboard 2 to run the fan and monitor temperature (which is a shame because the factory controller is so quick for simple cooks). Still after all this, I am happy with my purchase, I use it all the time. Quality is about what I expected for the price, so I can't say I'm disappointed with the issues. I would absolutely opt for a better built model. Only regret is that the 800 with the griddle wasn't available when i bought my 1050. The 800 would have been the perfect size for me.

Bought a month ago and love it. Have cooked everything from quickly seared steaks to 10 hours of a pork butt and it has held temperature masterfully.

Got the grill seasoned and ready for the summer...WiFi signal seams week and the app could use some improvement
