I bought this about a year ago and have been happy with the results overall. Controlling the temperature while still getting charcoal flavor is a big plus. It takes a little bit of practice but on the whole steaks, ribs, burgers, chicken all come out well. Cleaning is a bit of a challenge - I recommend a plastic putty knife for scraping the interior. It does have to be plugged in and as such should be covered when not in use and not left out in the rain. My only concern is the possibility of troubles with wiring or programming the grill, but none have arisen so far.

I utilize this only for smoking. It maintains heat very well. Works great and produces great flavor. Highly recommend

I found this to be well build, very versatile for grilling and/or smoking. Excellent temperature control. I love smoking my ribeye steak to add flavor and temp then finishing it off searing it. So good. It's also easy to clean. It didn't receive a 5th star because they need a better user interface controller and the thermostat that came with it is subpar.

I consider myself a handyman man, and assembly steps were easy, but it took a while. It worked for a couple of days, but the fan failed. Customer service was quick to respond, and they mailed me a new data cable quickly—new issues since then. BBQ is easy to use, and the features are excellent. It does burn a good amount of lump charcoal, but it's still a lot cheaper than pellets. The app was a little challenging to set up but worked excellent after setup. The griddle is fantastic and heats up evenly. One thing I would change is the display. No need to rotate time and temperature when their isn't a timer on.

I love cooking and a big part of that is done on our grill. So much goes into the preparation of a good meal I couldn't possibly leave the most important part to a bag of pellets! The flexibility to use wood and lump charcoal gives me the ability to smoke meats precisely with a rich flavor. Great job on making a quality product for us who love the entire process of grilling!

I bought the about 2 months ago. Some shipping damage. Customer Service stepped up and really happy. New to the smoker scene. I am really happy I made the decision to go with the 800.

I love the gravity concept of the smoker and for the most part have been very pleased. It came with a ripped top seal, resulting in excess smoke and I have tried to submit warranty claims on it 3 times, but either it never goes through or nobody responds. There is also not a phone number to contact any kind of support which is rediculous! But other than that I really like it.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
