Purchased this about the same time I bought my MBGS 800. Heavy duty Material, well made, and fits like a glove. Great protection for my investment!
Works like it should. Much better than the pellet grill.
I bought the smoker about 2 months ago. Assembly was straight forward. I went to go setup the controller to connect to my phone and wifi and immediately hit a snag. While the smoker connected to my phone via Bluetooth it would never connect to wifi. I tried several things both in the controller setup as well as my router to no avail. I contacted support and they were fairly responsive and made some suggestions that didn't resolve the issue. Mostly recommended updating the firmware, which you can't do unless connected to wifi... They decided to send a whole new controller with updated firmware but that still wouldn't connect. I finally found buried in troubleshooting documentation a line that said your wifi SSID and password combined cannot be longer than 15 characters. You also cannot have special characters which support had mentioned before. It seemed like a crazy arbitrary restriction as my router doesn't allow for a password less than 8 characters so an ssid greater than 7 letters would prevent a connection but I tried it and who would have thought both controllers(new and old firmware) connected. I asked support if when there would be a fix for this and have yet to get a response. Additionally I had an issue where the smoker turned itself off after only 3 hours of a 10 hour cook. Support claims this is fixed now and I have not seen the behavior again. So in summary you can get a decent cook but beware that the software/smart controller are not quite ready yet. Also it would be great if there was a safe place to hang the griddle without fearing I would lose a toe. Hopefully this helps someone out there.

This was partially an Anniversary gift from my wife 2 months ago & sold a Traeger to make up the difference. Honestly, been so Crazy busy have Only got to do 1 small cook to test temperature control & searing ability, both did well. Also added a bunch of Mods to improve life cycle & overall performance. Haven't got to use Rotisserie yet, but looking forward to utilizing it in future cooks.

Bought the product for the 800 series. A month later, when we tried to put it on, we realized the rod doesn't fit the 800 series even though the description says it does. It's past the return period and now we are stuck with a product that doesn't work at all.
got the 800 in February and have at least 20 cooks on it. First half dozen were flawless turning out great product (butts, ribs, rotisserie, griddle, steaks, smashburgers). then I get an "Open" code halfway through a smoke, had to move the food to a backup gas grill to finish (fan shuts off so no heat control). Internet says could be a stuck switch. Cleaned all three and a shot of WD40. Through the code again, I slammed the grill cover down- it went away. Now this is how I fix the "Open" issue. When it works, the unit turns out fab food- the love part. But the controller is finicky and will throw E4 codes from time to time (again shutting the fan down). MasterBuilt support is useless (has yet to respond). If I unplug the controller for a few hours and try again the code seems to clear and all is well. I would never trust this in a competition environment- the hate part. all in all it is a good grill, I will always have a backup grill ready to go if the 800 decides to shut down during a cook.

I bought this grill a month ago and love it. It was a learning curve using it, but once I have done a few cooks it's been excellent. The only issue I have is the app.
I bought this loving the idea of a versatile charcoal fired smoker/grill. I have used it and I enjoy it but I think the build isn't quite up to par. I understand the price point verses the quality of product is key but I've had to use the warranty once already with the safety switches and I plan to use it again. My fan only seems to have one speed now. It heats to like 150ish degrees and won't get any hotter. I remember when I first got the smoker the fan would crank up and heat quickly but not anymore. Two of three switches have been replaced and I recently bought and replaced the wiring harness kit thinking maybe j had a wire broke. So I haven't used it this grilling season at all. Overall, I've had more problems than I'd like. I'd rather pay more for a more reliable smoker.
Works great! It does go through a lot of charcoal though. WiFi won't connect to my phone though
I bought this holding the option of returning it if I was not satisfied. I have used it to smoke and than reversed seared, rib eye and tri tip. i can say I have never had a better steak and would rather eat mine than any restaurant I have ever been to

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
