For an all around grill there is none better. Love this thing!!!!
I've tooled with conventional horizontal drum smokers long enough to realize the vertical fuel hopper and PID controlled fan makes the process simple and much more fun.
I've had my 1050 for a couple of months now. So far I've made pork butts, spatchcock chicken, party wings, St. Louis style ribs and grilled shrimp. it so easy to use; from the initial lighting to maintaining the perfect temp. I love that it can go from smoking temps to the perfect high heat sear in just a matter of minutes. It's my new go-to for cooking!
I've had my 1050 for a few months and am so impressed with its ease of use. It has made some of the best ribs and steaks I've made yet, and it makes the best grilled pizza. I love it and its versatility.

When I received my the product it was in less than satisfactory condition. When I contacted Masterbuilt I received some of the best customer service that I've ever experienced! I'm not the type to leave reviews one way or another but after my experience I felt compelled to do this review as well as a google review! So thank you Masterbuilt and particularly a big thank you to my wonderful CS rep, Ashley Baxter!
I wanted the real charcoal experience, not briquets. Didn't realize the size could be as big as bigger than a soft ball and slightly smaller than a soccer ball. The big one were great for father's day and other family gatherings. Since it is just hubby and me most of the time, I will not order the big bags next time with the hope that there will be more smaller pieces for grilling hamburgers and small steaks.
Light it, set the temperature and timed walk away. Temperature control is amazing, from searing to smoking in no time. My only complaint is I bought the 560, I should have bought the larger unit.
I bought the grill two months ago and it is already unusable. The fan starts and stops as it pleases and does not respond to change in temperature settings. I've had to remove my meal off the grill multiple times and move it to the oven because it refused to heat up (fan does not start except for when it does but then it stops before it really matters). This is a terrible experience when there really isn't a manual override option for the grill. I thought I was springing for for a high quality grill and moving away from gas for the first time in my life and I unfortunately regret that decision.

I bought an 800 series in June, I really like the features and when it's working correctly I think it's a great grill. However, I have great difficulty contacting Customer Service when I have an issue...when I use the online form I never get a confirmation email, rather I get an error message in spite of correctly filling in every field on the form. My current issue is that the fan stops and starts constantly and the temperature control is not working...it was set to 390 and heated to 435 before I could get it turned off (Burnt my chicken to a crisp). I would really like to contact a tech so I can get this resolved and use the grill again.

I want to start by saying that I do really love my grill but the number of inconveniences have really made this a disappointing experience from shipping to the time I could finalize the build of the unit. I've had to order 5 replacement pieces so far. All damaged during transit and/or during the build process.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
