I bought the 1050 in October 2021 and have consistently grilled/smoked on it 3-5 times a week since then. Having owned numerous grills over the years, I can emphatically state I have never had a unit that offered such a wide range of possibilities! The 1050 is the epitome of an affordable blend of the best of both worlds in regards to smoking and traditional grilling. I can only hope your Masterbuilt brings your family the satisfaction and joy our Masterbuilt has brought ours!

I have completed several cooks on this grill. I have been cooking on a Weber kettle and had to visit the grill every 15 minutes. This grill with remote monitoring and PID is amazing. It holds the temperature really steady, even in the 20° temps we are having this year. The griddle made some amazing smash burgers and we have charred steaks at 600° and smoked some ribs at 225°. Such versatility allows me to cook what I want!

The grill is a great idea but is lacking thorough user documentation. The grill arrived quickly after ordering but was missing paint in one small area (too bad, just put some cooking oil on it so it doesn't rust!), the controller kept turning off during the first use (needs an undocumented firmware update to fix it), and the antenna connector on the controller was not factory assembled correctly so it spins freely (broken). A warranty claim for a new controller already! Unfortunately, once the box is opened it can no longer be returned. Even if you find it's damaged and doesn't work out of the box!

It's difficult to explain to the first time user, like me, how revolutionary this grill is. For the unindoctrinated, this is a charcoal grill that allows you to control the temperature like a gas grill. Charcoal flavor with gas grill convenience. It's almost not fair.

Didn't work out of box, plug had short, which I fixed, then it would not rotate more than 90 deg - horribly underpowered. Tried to submit a warranty claim on MasterBuilt site and got this: Invalid custevent_t_a_options reference key -- Select --. worthless response. tried several more times to make product registration and report issue - no luck. Very happy with the gravity 1050 smoker so far - but this rotisserie is junk.

Having seen a lot of good reviews I had high expectations. I've still been extremely impressed with how well the Gravity Series works. It's so easy to start up and manage I'm using it much more often than I expected. On days I'd previously have fallen back on my range/oven I can now fire up the grill instead. I use it exclusively with hardwood charcoal and some wood chunks for smoking. It works perfectly/ Temperature fluctuates about 5F plus or minus your target, sometimes a little more. The app works really well and if you're doing a low and slow cook, you can even leave the house and monitor it from afar. I've also noticed how efficiently it burns the charcoal. An entire hopper full of charcoal produces less than an inch of ash in the bucket. There's near zero wastage of charcoal.

Great smoker/grill. Really easy to light even for someone in a wheelchair. And I love the fact that it has wifi support so I can monitor things from inside the house and don't have to walk up and down the garden to the machine.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
