Masterbuilt Pizza Oven Insert for Gravity Series 800 & 1050 Models - MB20181722

I absolutely love this griddle. The 1050 on its own is great. I have the rotisserie kit and now also the griddle. It's easy to assemble, easy to use and produces great food! So far I've only done a couple of breakfast meals like eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes but I can't wait to try some smashburgers! Thank you Masterbuilt!

I prefer to do most of my cooking outdoors. This accessory allows me to cook so much more with my 1050. The griddle is large enough to cook for an entire family or guests. I was surprised by how evenly the temperature dispersed.

Bought a little over a year ago. Problem started within a year. Would not keep a constant temperature. Cannot talk to a person for customer service. Exchanged emails and troubleshot problem. They sent replacement probe. Same issues. Again reached out by email, no reply..

Would be really nice if the grill had an electric starter, but other than that, works beautifully. Makes great food and easy to control. Assembly was not difficult.

This is the best I've had so far. I've had everything from gas to pellets and I've always come back to charcoal/real fire. The temp holds very well. I've done overnight briskets to burgers, salmon, etc. flat top or grill. It's made some pretty amazing food. All an improvement over my previous pellet grill. Being able to really get a good sear is key. The pellet grill just couldn't get there. The gas grill just doesn't have the flavor. This grill heats up very quickly. It is very nice to not have to plan so far ahead coming from pellets. The connectivity to the app is a little spotty. I forget to remove/add damper plates when required - it would be great to have that in a little better design. You either open or shut them both at once? A lever/slide would be nice. Anyway, the way the design is currently it tends to get overlooked. I wonder why my grill isn't heating up when I see smoke, only to realize the fire in the hopper is just fine…but the plates are still in. I feel a little foolish admitting it, but it's something to get used to. The griddle heat is a little uneven. The furthest from the fire is much colder. Same about the grill. Having an ignition system would be great for staring the fire. Using fire starters can be a little inconsistent. That is my most critical stuff. Like I said, I love this thing, there could be some improvements, but it makes some pretty epic bbq.

The control system display stop working after a couple of usages.

I have used the MB 800 to smoke a brisket overnight, grilled chicken, smoked ribs for 3 hours, and seared a smoked rib roast, all on the MB 800. I have a Broil King Regal 590 gas grill, Weber Smokey Mountain, 2 Weber Kettles, and a Kamado Joe Big Joe. All are wonderful grills that do their jobs extremely well, but the Masterbuilt was one that i was missing, due to the ability to set it and forget it. Great job Masterbuilt, only time will tell is it will be reliable and durable without rusting or falling apart....we'll see. I do wish that the handle on the lid was lower and a little deeper for better usability. Deeper 2nd or 3rd level shelf would have also made it the PERFECT grill. But, great job!!

Heavy weight material, good seams and looks great on the smoker/grill.

Masterbuilt gravity serirs 1050, 4 stars only because after the first fire up the digital panel stopped working. However, with the connection to my phone, not a big concern to fix. Love the Masterbuilt gravity series!
