Masterbuilt Pizza Oven Insert for Gravity Series 800 & 1050 Models - MB20181722

I got the kit specifically to use on Thanksgiving. I hooked the kit up and tried it out. It seemed to be working fine. I then prepped the 8.5 pound turkey, made sure it was balanced on the bar, and turned on the motor. That's where things went wrong. 8.5 pounds was apparently well above the motor's capacity. It would turn the turkey 1/4 turn and then fail. It would try the opposite direction and fail again. After trying various methods to get it to turn, I finally gave up, put the turkey in a pan, and smoked it without the rotisserie kit. I'll try the kit with other meats and birds, but I was super disappointed about it's inability to turn an 8.5 pound turkey. Weak.

Didn't last a single season. Love the grill and smoker but the cover was 1 star.

Great grill, smoker, griddle. Easy to assemble but did take about 2 hours. I love the gravity hopper to feed the fire and the large bin for dumping. The fan regulates the temperature great. The whole thing is hands off when operating

I honestly love this grill. It delivera consistently cooked, great meats time after time. I had thought this Thanksgiving I would get the rotisserie attachment to use to ensure we had both a tasty and juicy bird. I bought a relatively small turkey--8 pounds. I prepped it and put it on the bar, properly balanced so both sides were equal. And...fail. it would turn about 1/4 of the way, try the other direction, and then just sit there. Nice. Apparently the motor isnt set up to do anything over about 5 pounds (and I'm just guessing at that, given how difficult it was for 8). Anyhow, certainly not worth the ridiculous amount I paid for it, as the primary purpose was to smoke birds. It's a weak, piece of crap.

I bought the 1050 gravity over a year ago. About the 3rd cook the fan seemed to start acting sporadic but still worked. Left it go for awhile and then 2 months ago it had gotten so bad I replaced the door sensors. It worked good for about 2 or 3 cooks and then acted the same way. It cooks amazing food and is fun when it works. They need to redesign the door sensors and get this thing better. Costs too much money for its problems. I'd try a different product guys.

Pros: 100% best concept ever, sensor with fan keeps temp. 100% within what you set it at, it's NO different than controlling an oven, set it on 300 and it stays there. With charcoal and adding wood, it doesn't get any better. Grill, sear, smoke, etc.........it's great. Cons: cheap built china metal, built one with real USA steel and mark it up a little higher in price and NOBODY will complain!!!!!!!!!!

This smoker/grill/griddle is really the best of both worlds. Im old school, but got a deal on a pellet grill through work, and fell In love with its ease of use. I found the pellet grill laking in smoke flavor and bark. Alas I trudged on because it was almost like cheating. The gravity feed is actually easier to use and Ive got my bark back with great smoke flavor. I spend alot less on seasonings now. The griddle was just icing on the cake. It has few moving parts and can be ran on 12v. There are apps to run the smoker from your phone. If you are hooked to Bluetooth and Wifi it will work anywhere. The classic app was clunky and buggy, but once I found the new app it is simple and runs as it should. I have no issue setting and forgetting the grill. The probe will alert you to your temp points for wrapping and pulling, and you can adjust the smoker temp from your phone....@ work LOL. This is the best set up Ive come across for the reverse sear. It will go from 180 to 700 faster than you need it to. Was skeptical but now hooked. My wife and I love this thing and will use it year round.

I've owned the cover for my Gravity 1050 for less than a year and it's completely faded and brittle already. I use the grill at least twice a week, so I'm constantly add and removing the cover, and it has holes and cracks all over where the cover creases. The elastic band has completely dry rotted and is unusable. When the cover was new, it felt nice, looked great, and fit the grill perfectly. It's a shame it hasn't lasted even a year. For the price, it's absolutely not worth it. I had a Traeger and their cover had a rubberized material that lasted 5 years and still looked good for the same price. The grill is fantastic, the cover is terrible.

Doesn't work wont spin the motor seems to not be powerful enough even though it sed it spins up to 20lbs i wasted my money it couldn't even work with less then 5lbs
