I love the way you can set the temperature and the grill will heat up as needed
Extremely large!! You can cook so much in this grill/smoker!! It is great for large parties or just for grilling steaks for the family. Great for smoking a brisket for the big game!! We have only ever bought Masterbuilt and have never been disappointed! They are built to last. We have never had one go bad on us. Rather we just upgrade for a newer one with new features!! I definitely reccomend this grill/smoker or really any of theirs!!!
I have owned this smoker for more than a year now. It has been nothing short of amazing. I had a different Masterbuilt vertical smoker which was great. But this one is a game changer. First, having all of the charcoal as fuel providing the heat provides better control of your end product than electric heat. With the other smoker, you only got smoke when the heating element was on. On hot days, it could be off for a long time. Second the charcoal imparts its own flavor and combined with wood chunks in the ash bin, the flavor and smoke ring I get is fantastic. However, I do love the electronics on this smoker so I can keep my temperature fairly even, especially with long cooks. You can almost set it and forget it. This smoker is also incredibly roomy. I have thrown tons of food on it and have fed an army. Lastly, this smoker is easy to use, easy to clean, and a fantastic cooker for anyone who wants to smoke meat.
I've had my 800 for 7 months now. Had an issue right out of the box with the controller. Masterbuilt warranty had me a new one in a few days. Assembly instructions were good. Holds temp well and is very versatile. I've done 24# of brisket at once on it with no issue. Great grill/smoker
Bought this a year ago and my god the amazing food that comes off this thing is mind blowing 🤯 I will never own any other smoker/grill but this when it's time for another one I want the same one
Our grill store loves to work out our products to test them. The Gravity Series is an amazing grill at a great price point. I put it through the ringer. Took it to my neighborhood pool club where there are 10 guys that cook on it constantly throughout the summer. It is on its 4th summer with no repairs. It cooks for swim teams, lifeguards, birthday parties, and backyard grill lovers. The flavor of natural charcoal and wood mixed in intermittently is excellent. The versatility and range of temperature makes it a work horse. I also enjoy using the multiple grill layers to concentrate flavor is a big plus. Sausage on top, ribs in the middle, and chicken on the bottom is my favorite. If you put meats on the top and middle you can also drip it into a smoked cabbage tray. The only item that could use improvement is the size of the grease tray. With large cooks, I remove and put a bucket underneath. Overall, I have sold many of these to my friends and of them rave.

The Grill/Smoker works very well. It keeps the temperature very consistent and is easy to use. I truly love the concept and ability of the grill/smoker. Everything I have smoked has turned out really good. I haven't used the unit as a grill much, but it seems that it works better as a smoker than as a grill. Now for the negative. The app quit working after the 3rd cook. The ability to remotely control and monitor the unit was a huge selling point for me as not being tied to the smoker during a long smoke was important to me. The manual control on the smoker still works with just minor issues, however you can not monitor or control the unit remotely. Apparently it is an issue with a recent update and is currently affecting android devices. The worst part about my whole experience has been by far Masterbuilt's horrible customer service. To be specific, getting to speak to a human is almost impossible. They completely removed all phone numbers to call (at least that I could find). Your only 2 options are filling out their online form, or starting a chat. I started with the form. I never received a response other than an email stating my case number and saying someone would be in contact with me. After several weeks, I started a chat at which time the person claimed someone tried to call me and left a message on a certain date. I pulled my call logs and on that date there were no calls from any unknown numbers and I had no voicemails that day, so whomever input in the system that they called me out and out lied. However the person on chat contacted the customer service person (not sure why 2 different departments are needed for that, I would think the chat feature would be the same as customer service) and said he would call me shortly. This time my phone actually rang, so that tells me they did have my correct number. The gentleman was very nice and listened to my issue. He stated he would pass the information on to "tech" and someone would contact me. After many weeks, I went back to chat and got the same claim that someone had tried to call, and left a message. Once again, that never happened. The chat customer service said that the phone customer service would call me soon. When they did, I got a super helpful man named George that was extremely informative and apologetic. He finally explained about the programming issue that is affecting the android devices using the app, but did not know when it would be fixed. I mentioned the minor issues I was having with the manual controller and he sent me a replacement without any hassle. I asked if I would be notified once the programming issue was repaired and he said I should get an email. It has been several months and I still have not gotten that email yet. Overall, the smoker/grill is very good. I'm not too sure about the controller and the app. The ability to get a response from customer service is absolutely horrible. But once you do actually get someone, they seem to be very courteous, professional, and helpful. The chat and online form is ridiculous for anything but simple issues. I am hoping the app begins to work again soon and I can get back to fully enjoying the Masterbuilt 1050 experience the way it is supposed to be. I am not sure how to rate this unit as I feel the product itself is good, but if resolving issues is going to always be this difficult, how can I give very positive reviews. And how could I recommend a product to a friend knowing how difficult it is to get support when you have an issue?
I bought this two years ago and have enjoyed countless meals from it. So easy to use and allows for not only smoking ( to perfection) but you can still get a beautiful sear from it too. Highly recommended
I have had my Masterbuilt Gravity series 800 for 1.5 years I use it all the time. It's easy to use easy to clean and makes great flavor. This is actually my second Gravity series grill I also own the 560 and love it as well. I have recommended this grill to everyone looking to buy a grill. I would recommend these grills to anyone.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
