I have owned this grill for 6+ seasons. It is the worst, most complicated grill I have ever owned. Outside of the learning curve and getting used to the complicated process of its use it doesn't perform as it should. It doesn't hold its temperature when using it as a smoker and under performs as a grill for steaks, burgers and sausages. After all of that, the convection fan died after 3 years and again after replacing it, it died again. I would never recommend this grill to anyone. When it was delivered, there was damage to the unit. I waited 2 weeks for a replacement part and the wrong cooking chamber was sent. I waited again for the correct part. Building this grill is a two person job and not an easy build. Today I placed the non-functional grill at the curb for the scrap man to take to the metal recycling yard. Unfortunately this expensive poorly designed boat anchor is not worth purchasing. Please save your money and buy another smoker/grill.
Broke within 1 year of buying product. Customer support was difficult to get a hold of, and required a bunch of hoops to log a request. Then claimed out of warranty despite it breaking within warranty, and having pictures proving that. Now replacement part is apparently out of stock.
Built incredibly cheap, half the welds in the firebox popped after about the 5 use, used some high temp silicone to seal it. Worked for awhile, that's gone and flames pour through
Get your lighting tips before starting. The charcoal isn't easy to light without the correct starter stick or torch. I am now using the campfire sticks. Dampers should stay closed until fuel is burning. Open dampers when the charcoal is smoldering to give it air. Turn on the digital settings last and watch the temp rise. If not rising within 3-5 minutes the coals are not lit or the dampers are still inserted.
I purchased the 800 gravity series for the versatility of having a grill, grilled, and smoker. The concept seemed perfect and I've had a 30 inch masterbuilt smoker for 7 years that I love. The quality is probably my biggest gripe. All of the metal components rusted within 9 months. The metal manifolds and tray that holds them in the Grill are almost falling apart. There was also a significant fire that started in the grill due to grease from the griddle. There has been quite a bit of a learning curve with this grill. It's a very good product if you're meticulous on maintenance. Clean it after every other use. Use oils on all metal components after every use otherwise you will have issues. I have made some of my best smoked foods on this smoker, brisket and pulled pork are amazing. I've used the griddle for smash burgers and hibachi and that works great as well. Overall it's a good product, just wish the quality was better

I love that I can smoke something all morning, and then increase the temperature to grill burgers and dogs just before we ready to eat.
Bought 3 years ago. I have cooked almost everything on this grill breakfast is amazing on the flat top, and so are Philly cheese steaks. Temp control has helped me smoke ribs chicken and more. I want the rotisserie next.
Worked for less than 10 uses kept covered and clean. Placed contact request on multiple occasions to get help troubleshooting and see what replacement parts I may need to try. My issue was addressed NONE of those times and my ticket was closed without resolution each time. Customer service is even worse than the product. Super disappointing as I was really looking forward to using this grill.
Love my 1050, easy to use and maintain. Replacement parts (because I use it a lot) are super easy to install and inexpensive. Wood smoking? It's a must…..

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
