I bought this smoker new in the box. It was dented, scratched and the paint was chipped, flacking or very thin in several spots. Masterbuilt will not replace the poor quality paint finish or scratched items. Not worth it and very poor workmanship. Guaranteed to rust immediately which is not covered by warranty. They state that it is still operational. Cheap looking smoker on my new deck.

Rotisserie did not keep rotating it stopped after a while. I started to ask for a refund but didn't want to go through the trouble.

I really love this grill/smoker. It's plenty big to cook for a big group or family. It keeps the temperature very well. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the app is a little lacking. Step up the app Masterbuilt and you will have a perfect product.

Wifi is terrible, definitely not up to modern standerds. Also, device does not always stay connected. LED screen is 100% trash. You can hardly see the screen unless it's 1:00 AM when the sun is completely down. It is so terrible during the day, to the point that if the phone app doesn't work, then good luck! After 1yr, I need to replace 2-3 of the switches after they've all become corroded to the point where they no longer work. Keep in mind, i've cleaned them all multiple times. In my opinion, after dealing with the BBQ, it's a bad design for the switch placements. I also need to replace the firebox due to extreme rust, to the point where I no longer see metal, I see fiberglass where the charcoal is.

Had mine for a year, I enjoy it but I have to say it is poorly made. From the dissimilar metals which have rusted fairly quickly, to the electronic components that have needed repair or replacement well within the warranty window. I believe my unit will last about two more years before I need to recycle it or learn to weld/repair it myself. Otherwise gravity fed electronic charcoal is both cool, and tastes great! Just don't count on it being around long.

Would rate a zero if possible. Horrible customer service. This company is definitely nothing like it use to be. Have made multiple attempts at reaching out with no response back. My gravity series was defective right out of the box. Obviously this company does not care. It's sad that anyone should have to rate a product that may be good and base it off of lack of support/response from the manufacturer.

I've had a lot of different smokers and grill throughout the years and currently have three different units. I've been using gravity feds a lot lately but a friend of mine got one of these Autoignite and I really liked the food he was producing so I decided to get one. This thing holds temps rocksolid, hot and fast or slow and low it does it all. Very happy with the unit.

This Masterbuilt 1050 grill/smoker was the most expensive we have purchased in fall of 2022 and the worst one we have bought! It needed replacement parts a month after using, you can't talk to anyone in customer service, then it worked for a few months and stopped again. We didn't get the additional warranty so we have had to continue to order parts. Then we were using it and the temperature would say 102 but the grill would be about on fire! We wasted so much food. We then recently looked inside the shoot and holes were burned in the side walls of the shoot causing air probably and that's why the temp would not regulate. We give up, not buying anything else to try! Today the garbage man came and crushed it in their machine! I warn anyone on thinking of purchasing.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
