Masterbuilt Pizza Oven Insert for Gravity Series 800 & 1050 Models - MB20181722

Just recently purchased my 1050, once assembled and relocated to the deck,seasoned and ready! I've cook on it twice as of now, due to bad weather. I have no complaints! Holds temperature, easily lit, great cooking area,and it looks darn good and sexy with its custom cover.

I had to replace my Rotisserie system after only 2 uses. The motor quit on it way too quickly.

I have bought 3 of the 1050's now. Every single one of them had the console panel display go out within the first 3 uses. They still work from my phone, but can't really have someone else use them. Hopefully they have found and fixed this problem so I can get a new panel that works. Unfortunately, I can't find a replacement panel that is WiFi capable. I still love the grills, but would love to have the parts all work.

I've always preferred to grill over charcoal vs gas. Gas grills are also highly failure-prone...the burners generally don't hold up for more than a few years, and you don't get that bbq flavor that charcoal provides. Additionally, the grill automatically maintains the cooking temp via a digitally controlled fan which evenly heats and cooks just as consistently as an oven. This grill is truly amazing. Definitely a game-changer for charcoal grilling. The grill is also fully Wifi-enabled...being able to monitor your meal from a phone app as well as control the temp/shut down the grill makes multitasking a breeze while barbecuing. The grill is easy to clean and maintain, and a breeze for barbecuing. The only change I would make with this grill would've been a damper to more quickly stop any leftover charcoal from burning...over time however it's easier to figure out exactly how much charcoal to use for the meal being prepared. Definitely recommend the MasterBuilt AutoIgnite 545 for the BBQ enthusiast.

I usually don't leave bad reviews. But I purchased this grill 10 months ago for my husband. The first few months was great. After 3 months had to replace power cord. Now nothing is working. Such a shame after all the money paid. Had such high expectations. Will never buy again.

Just tried mine and motor not powerful enough to handle more than one medium chicken. About 7 pounds. Tried two chickens and motor wouldn't turn burned the breast but caught it before destroying the food

I put a whole chicken on my rotisserie and it wouldn't even turn it. I googled it, and it said to balance the weight better, did that, didn't help. I think it needs a more powerful motor.

Love the smoker, the charcoal taste is much better than any pellets.

Got this grill a few months ago and had high hopes since it had great reviews. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the reviews. Wondering if the good ones were paid or they just got lucky. The trouble started from the moment I turned it one for the first time and the screen for the controller would light up but not display anything. My wife was able to mess with it enough to get it connected to the app so I was ok, not happy, but ok since I could still use the grill. I had planned on controlling it from my phone anyway. We successfully used it to cook for our friends that night. Tried it again but connectivity proved even more difficult but with a little extra button pushing and good guessing we got it hooked up again and it worked ok. Not as great as the first time, the temp had more fluctuations but still within a 10° margin. Tried it a few more times with similar results but the fluctuations kept growing by a degree or 2 each time. However, the last 2 times we used it, connectivity was almost impossible and the temperature was so erratic it ended up ruining the meat. We tried, when it was new to get a replacement screen but were given the run around and never received it. We tried to just buy a replacement screen but weren't able to locate one anywhere online. We've also had issues with rusting even though it's under a roof and has never been wet. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and we have quite a few friends that when they saw the app controling it wanted to buy one as well.

I used the grill 2 times and then the control module went out. This has been a common problem with 1star reviews. Masterbuilt has No number where you can talk to customer support, they have an answering machine! So all correspondence essentially has to be by email. It has been almost 2 weeks since I reached out to customer support to get my new control module which is under warranty. Not one person has reached out to me and I have followed up on the email multiple times. Do Not Buy Masterbuilt !
