I sometimes use these to start up my gravity series smoker. Can be a bit difficult to light expression in windy conditions. Also doesn't provide a ton of flame so it can take a while to actually start the charcoal. Gets the job done, but I'd rather use tumbleweeds.

I've done 6-8 cooks on this thing and I love the ability to still have charcoal flavor while not having to work a fire the whole time. Just set and forget.

Not going to lie, I was a little intimidated when we first bought our gravity feed and waited a month or two before trying, boy that was a mistake. It is so simple and the phone app makes it even simpler. I highly recommend to anyone who likes to grill or smoke, it does an amazing job on both!!

I've had a lot of different smokers over the years. From barrel smokers, side fire smokers, and pellet smokers. Barrels and side fire smokers need constant attention and pellets might be a lazy smokers dream but they just don't produce the smoke flavor of the others. The gravity series 1050 gives you the best of both worlds. Fire is constant and maintains temp at all times and allows you to fill with as much wood or charcoal as you want. Want more smoke, add more wood. The only monitoring is to watch the chamber and add wood or charcoal of needed. I have had a few issues. The display went out and was quickly replaced but the new one WiFi died after about a year. The only other part was the fire grate at the bottom has bent from heat and now is difficult to remove and needs to be replaced. This has been quite difficult to find. Other than that, I really enjoy this smoker.

Have had the gravity series now for about a year and a half and I absolutely love it! Run it just on charcoal if you want to grill some steaks, load in some hardwood and smoke up some pork butts! Extremely easy to use, and once you master stacking charcoal and hardwood in the the gravity feeder, you can go 6-7 hours of smoking without doing a thing! The unit has held up great, just finished 2 prop butts in it the other day for Labor Day! Do not hesitate to get this!!

I've had this grill for over a year and have enjoyed every moment of it. Big long cooks like brisket, pork butt, and Dino ribs are a great way to enjoy cooking out with the family. Y'all made it easy to BBQ with this grill without the trouble of an offset smoker. Easy to clean when ever you done cooking. Also the Rotisserie is an awesome feature I enjoy. Thanks for all y'all do

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
