Got this for my "summer BBQ". 13 pound packer brisket, smoked, wrapped in pink butcher paper, took it to 203°, then into the blanket at 6:30AM, dinner at 4:00 PM, 9 1/2 hours. Monitored the temperature until it hit about 145°, three hours or so, then into my oven set to 170°. That held the temperature at about 145° until time to unwrap and slice. It was the best brisket that I have done, and I think the key was the long hold time (that's hold at temperature as opposed to rest). The blanket was great, neat, easy to handle in the oven, no messing around with greasy paper in the cooler. Best part (for me) no need to worry about finishing on time if your cook goes long or short, just schedule for a 5-10 hour hold and you can serve at the perfect temperature.

Holds the heat very well. But BE SURE after you put brisket in the bag and zip it up, to be sure you lay the bag in something like an empty ice chest or on a cookie sheet because the juices will leak through the bag. I thought maybe I didnt zip up the bag, but it was zipped up good, & zipper was turned upward too. But whole under side of the bag was was soaked with juices from the brisket. What a mess!!!!

This seemed like a great concept, but omg it is not worth a dime. Somehow it turned moldy after just using it once. It was completely cleaned (and dried), as instructed, prior to storing it. When we went to use it again, it was moldy. After reading one of the other reviews just now, I'd agree... it absorbs liquid, grease, etc. We tried to scrub it clean, soak it, etc with hopes of salvaging it -- no luck -- it went in the trash!

They claim to hold in the juices but all this blanket does is absorb all the liquid and pass it straight through to wherever you set it making a huge mess. It is now completely unusable and feels greasy to the touch despite following their cleaning directions.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
