Just bought this crisper basket today and I'm looking forward to using it. Disappointing that there were no recipes in the "instruction" booklet and they are few and far between anywhere on the internet. There is another brand basket that is less expensive but it is used on another brand grill also. Was looking for recipes for this rather expensive accessory as to info for direct heat - indirect heat…seeing others using it. Wish Weber would step up with videos and recipes…I'll update after I try making wings on Sunday…

We tried to cook shishkabob ingredients with the marinade in the basket and the marinade coated the entire netting so we couldn't see inside, the ingredients were all burned, and the basket will not clean after scrubbing twice in the sink with a wire brush and running through the dish washer twice. The picture is after one use and 4 cleanings.

Yesterday evening I used my new Weber Rotisserie Basket for the first time smoke roasting potatoes first, then delicate broccoli crowns second. Weber designers are geniuses as I believe they thought of everything. After washing the unit with mild dish detergent, I oiled the basket inside and out prior to oak/hickory smoking some potatoes with onion, green pepper, garlic, olive oil and other seasonings. The basket effortlessly slid onto the spit, the stainless unit opens and closes effortlessly, two spring-loaded clasps lock the basket halves closed, and one notices right away that the basket is very solid and well-built. I checked the potatoes at one point, and opened the hot basket. The spring-loaded U-shaped clamps on the clasps pop right open just by releasing them! Very easy and much appreciated when handling hot food. I remember thinking to myself at that point, "They thought of everything down to the tiniest of details!" The potatoes were awesome, then I put in broccoli crowns seasoned with dark Asian sesame oil, sea salt, and fresh cracked peppercorns. My thought was as fragile as broccoli crowns are, if they hold up to the rotisserie, then I can cook virtually anything in this basket. The delicate broccoli crowns showed no signs of bruising or falling apart, and they turned out absolutely delicious. Clean-up is simple since I pre-oiled the basket with a paper towel soaked in vegetable oil. This is a gem of a product, and like the rotisserie it fits on, it is a "must have" in your repertoire of grilling and barbequing accessories.

Now I can roast my NM chili's right before making a feast! Oh, and the roasted veggies don't have to be fished out from underneath the grill! There is more to explore, more adventurous grilling to be tried out. And this basket makes it possible!

Not gonna lie, I've been stalking this since I saw "coming summer 2022" on the website and bought it the first chance I got. I love it! I've used it to roast veggies, make popcorn (the kiddos were impressed!) and had a chance to use the divider to do a sweeter roasted butternut squash dish on one side and a more savory mix on the other. The divider did a nice job of keeping the two sides separated with everything cooking nicely. My next dish will be chicken wings for the big game. Its easy to load, though the hinge being on what would be facing you when the basket is on the spit makes for a little awkwardness locking it down and opening it back up to remove from the spit, though nothing deal breaking. In all a great way to roast one or two side dishes, and with the larger 4 burner grills, there is room to add meal components. Would definitely recommend!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
