Warranty

Charbroil warrants to the original consumer-purchaser that the cooking grates, lid, and firebox shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials after correct assembly and under normal and reasonable home use for a period of three (3) years and all other parts for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Labor not included.

I got a lemon

The unit worked flawlessly for the first five or six uses. However, during one use, I found the grill had powered off unexpectedly. Upon inspection, I discovered that the power cord and connector had melted. I contacted your customer service team via phone, and they were kind enough to send me a replacement power cord. After installing the new cord, I plugged in the unit and saw the power indicator light on the front panel illuminate. Assuming everything was functioning normally, I covered the grill and left it for later use. About a month later, when I went to use it again, the power indicator was still illuminated. I pressed the temperature control knob to set the temperature—and immediately, the circuit breaker tripped. Frustrated, I took additional steps to rule out power supply issues. This grill is connected to a dedicated 20A circuit, so I replaced the GFCI breaker with a new 20A receptacle. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred: as soon as I press the temperature knob to activate heating, the breaker trips again. At that point, I set the unit aside out of frustration. Now that summer is here, I've revisited the issue. I opened the unit and inspected the internals. I didn't find any obvious damage to the PCB—no burn marks, no smell, no signs of a short—and the unit's internal fuse remains intact. Clearly, something is malfunctioning, but it's not obvious what. This grill was a significant investment, and it's disheartening that it only worked reliably for a short period.

Literally does not work

I purchased this grill due to open flame restrictions in my community. It looks nice, is a good size, and fit my needs. However, within 5 uses, it stopped working all together. I have been on the phone with customer service a few times now and they agreed it is faulty and recommend a replacement part, but cannot send me the part because it is out of stock. They aren't even 100% sure this will fix it, but this part has been out of stock for months and they have no clue when it will be available again. This has been a disappointing purchase that I regret and will make sure to not purchase a Char-Broil grill again. It's really poor quality and no solutions for the issues with their faulty products.

Cooks efficient!

I love this grill because I live in an apartment and cannot have butane or charcoal. This is the best electric grill that I have had so far! It cooks from the inside out very thoroughly and I love the fact that it has a fuse and can go up to 700°. The temperature control is perfect. The self cleaning keeps it clean. Great for barbecues!

Terrible Product

Had trouble right from beginning couldn't shut off by knob. Call to factory no help and now heating element blowing the breaker and out of stock , can't get a replacement. Expensive piece of junk.Do not buy it.

Huge waste of money! Broke after one year!

I'm extremely disappointed in this grill. I've had it for less than 2 years and as of last year the grill would trip my GFCI every time I tried to use it. I figured it was because the circuit breaker wasn't a high enough amp. SO I decided to have an extra dedicated outlet installed on my deck to use this grill. I plug it in and tried to use it today and it trips the new 20amp outlet also. Seriously? I called in and they say that the heating element usually goes bad after about a year's use, so I need to purchase a new heating element. Well guess what? It's not in stock!!!! What a piece of junk! We ended up bringing our Ninja Foodi outside and sitting on top of this piece of junk since we wanted to grill outside. Our food on the Ninja turned out great! I would definitely not recommend this grill at all!!!! It was a huge waste of money!

Loses temp while cooking

We have had this for a few years. Whenever I grill anything it gets up to temp fine, but after cooking about 7 minutes I have to check the tem and it almost always has dropped about 40 degrees or more, throwing off the cooking time and making grilling a chore.

TRIPS GFI AFTER ONE YEAR OF USE

I purchased one year ago. Worked great, now cannot set temp, it keeps tripping the 20AMP GFI. Had electrician checked all good 20AMP circuit and GFI. THE TEMP SETTING CONTROL WENT DEFECTIVE AFTER 1 YEAR. Will throw in trash, and get propane grill. Very disappointed in purchase

Char Broil Edge after 1 Year

So we bought the Char Broil Edge based on reviews and the size compared to other electric grills. At first we thought that maybe it was us and just had to get use to the grill. Then after more than a few times (we used our gas grill constantly) we realized that this grill did not work for meats that were marinated. It was a mess as the marinate would just go in the goves of the grill and cook onto the metal. The cooking of a steak was not much better as it was like cooking in a pan on the stove. We tried numerous solutions and cleanings and still the same end product. If this is what you want with a grill then this is your grill, in fact I will sell your mine.I have now ordered a Nepoleon Rogue grill and going back to gas. My loss of $$$ as this experiment didn't work.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
