Smoke Box
If you want a little more smoke and more smoke flavor than you may get with pellets alone, the reinvented Smoke Box lets you cook with wood pellets, wood chunks or chips, and even charcoal. Use the damper to simultaneously control heat and flavor.
Down & Out Ventilation
The Woodwind Pro heat diffuser optimizes your smoking by pushing smoke and heat up the sides of the grill, then circulating and eventually exiting it through the rear exhaust. You will get even heat and smoke throughout the smoking chamber. With the Fan Only mode, you can cold smoke with the Woodwind Pro 36.
WiFi Controller + Camp Chef Connect
The Woodwind Pro WiFi line includes a full-color display with an easy-to-use menu dial, four ports for temperature probes, and a weather-resistant cover. The Camp Chef Connect app lets you monitor your cook from anywhere on your smartphone. You can set timers, check data from past cooks, assign labels to your probes, and set up push notifications. The included Smart Meat Assistant even lets you select meat types. It does not get much easier than this!
Smoke Number
The PID controller helps you regulate smoke and temperature. You can control how much smoke you provide to your cook by adjusting the Smoke Number. The detailed controller gives you the most precise grill temperature control in the industry. Increase the Smoke Number, and your smoke output increases. As the Smoke Number decreases, the temperatures will hold steady. Now you can ask your friends, what is YOUR smoke number?
Stainless Steel Components
Protecting your grill against rust and corrosion helps it last for many years. The Woodwind Pro 36 uses 430 stainless steel on the inside, and the butterfly valve, gasket, and burn cup use 304 stainless steel.
Sidekick Compatible
Expand your outdoor cooking capabilities by adding a Sidekick Flat Top griddle or a Sidekick Searing Station to your pellet grill. A Sidekick mounts easily to your existing side shelf holes. The Sidekick components are propane-powered.
Ash Cleanout
While hardwood pellets typically burn efficiently, they usually leave some ash behind. The Woodwind Pro 36 provides an Ash Cleanout to let you quickly and easily remove ash. Simply pull the Ash Cleanout knob on the side of the grill, and your ash empties into a cup that you can remove. Just dump the ash safely, replace the cup, and you are ready for your next cook!

Camp Chef has thought out every step of the way. Delivery was quick. Instructions were simple and illustrated. I was up and running in an hour. I have enjoyed other pellet grills and they produce great food. However, I am so glad made the switch. This is the closest you will get to an offset smoker in bark, flavor, and smokiness. Unlike an offset, I placed the meat in the smoker, set up my phone with presets. A couple hours later I was enjoying and sharing the results with family and friends. All were amazed.
I got this as a gift to myself and it's really been fun to use. I've done just about everything on it except spareribs. The smoke I've got from this unit is very good. The technology makes monitoring and temperature adjustments easy and convenient. I feel like the hopper could be bigger and have a supplemental auger to keep the pellets falling into the feed tube.

I love this thing. The smoke box was a great enhancement. Just wish i was bigger and lasted longer. I love having it though. I have used it a ton doing many things. 4th of July i had the thing so full it was insane.
I bought the Camp Chef Woodwind Pro several months ago. I have enjoyed the extra smoke flavor I am able to have with the firebox where I can add wood chunks. The easiness of use and technology available on this unit have made my smoking and grilling experience so much more enjoyable.
Bought the 36 inch pro with a sear station. My sons and I put this together in less than 2 hours. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Impressed with the quality of the construction. No slightly misaligned holes and everything is clearly labelled. The smoker works very well. Did wings night one, reverse sear tomahawks night two, and an 18 hour brisket for the third smoke. Fantastic across all three smokes. Consistent heat and smoke. Really excellent controls. The smoke box adds great flavor. Not just a gimmick. If you love grilling and smoking I recommend.

Smoker came to me with a broken part and it's been a nonstop issue since. New part wouldn't work, wrong parts sent, etc. I ordered on July 11th and I still don't have an operational smoker. I just want to return everything that's been sent to me and get a refund.

I would give this smoker 5 stars if it weren't for what I perceive to be a couple minor design flaws. First, I'll start out by pointing out that I am a Camp Chef fan and already have a handful of their other products. Good experiences with them helped me with my decision to buy this smoker. I believe I am qualified to write and submit this review because I have already used this smoker to smoke whole chickens (3), tri-tip (3 times), pork shoulder/butt, salmon, several cheeses, macaroni and cheese, and will upload pictures of some of these items if the site lets me. PROS Now, I'll point out some of the features I really like. Packaging, instructions, labeling of parts was exceptionally good! All made for easy assembly by one person. I didn't think I'd like the wifi capability as much as I do. It is very convenient to be able to control stove temperature, smoke level, as well as probe labels and temperature targets all from the app on your phone. The temperature stays within a pretty tight range, which has directly contributed to my meats turning out perfect and juicy. I've had trouble with other smokers running too hot! The 36" version has lots of room for meat! I bought the 36" beef jerky rack as an accessory and will be smoking three racks of beef jerky on it later today. CONS Burn pot vent lever: The lever has an allen head set screw that holds it in place. I had trouble with it almost right away. It kept slipping, not allowing me to properly use to lever to open and close the vent. I fixed this by adding a second nut to the shaft that acts as a jam nut and will upload a picture of it if the site lets me. I think this should be part of their design on future models. It is more sturdy than a tiny set screw. Burn pot accessibility while smoker is in use: I like to add wood chunks/chips to the burn pot while the smoker is in operation without having to lift the smoker's lid. With the current design, the long handle used to lift the lid

I'm not happy with the WoodWind pro. It looks very nice but the functionality of the smoke box isn't great because it gets stuck with the feeder piece, my grills butterfly valve is not flush with the heat diffuser and the heat diffuser is in its correct slot. This is really frustrating because I was expecting this to be better.
Just got the 36 pro and looks great and very solid! But I can't seam to find a grill cover for it offered by camp chef. Any ideas on what covers will fit this 36 pro model?

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
