Neighbor Sofa W/ Sunbrella Cushion Arms - Sunbrella Coal

The sofa is substantial, sturdy, stylish and timeless. It was easy to put together and looks great. I think it will last for years and I won't need to upgrade or replace.

My wife discovered this couch via Instagram. There was a slight issue with some stripped bolts and a misaligned hole when my wife and I began assembly, but Neighbor was responsive and sent a replacement part right away. The fit of all the parts and satin finish seems excellent. The cushions are firm, yet comfortable. The material and stitching seems durable. Possibly due to the modular design, there's a bit of flex to the structure when it's picked up. The structure seems perfectly rigid when seated though. Ultimately you get more than you pay for, in terms of design and materials utilized. My wife and are are both stoked on our purchase.

Just what we'd hoped. We got it for our screened in porch and it's comfortable, great-looking, and came pretty quickly! We're thrilled.

The sofa was really easy to put together. It looks great and we like the firm cushions. The problem is the cushions move around A LOT. It 's pretty annoying and when the front cushion slides out, the back cushion slides down and exposes the wood on the back, making it uncomfortable. The ottoman cushion is not attached at all so it never stays put. So if you plan on moving around while on the couch you might want to consider getting some velcro to use on the cushions to keep them in place. Is it the biggest deal? No. Although it does seem like something that would have been pretty easy to fix on the production end. We had to get cushion velcro and put it on the keep it in place.

I did an extensive search when looking for outdoor furniture, including pieces more than 3x in price. I chose Neighbor because it captured the aesthetic I was after AND was easy to care for - a must with kids. I wanted something we could be unconcerned about getting dirty, that would not require me to move cushions in and out of the garage, and that would last over time. I could not have made a better choice. The outdoor patio has come together beautifully and is now one of our favorite spaces in the house. I also have to say that the customer service is PHENOMENAL. Truly, I've never experienced service like I got from Neighbor. I worry that Nick (one of the co-founders) may not sleep with how responsive and accommodating he was, but I'm glad to know he has a comfortable place to rest when he's got time to kick his feet up. I'll be buying more from this company and am excited to see them grow.

The sofa is okay. It seems like it's good quality. The one thing that seemed odd is that the back cushions are kind of small, thin and hard, and therefore not very comfortable to lean against. All of the cushions are quite hard, but hopefully they will soften with time. The side cushions are as thin as the back. Overall, it is nice looking. I waited quite a long time for the sofa, so I was a little disappointed at the thickness and comfort of some of the cushions.

Although our sofa has had minimal use so far, it's very stylish and comfortable. I appreciate the firmer texture cushion. I was also pleasantly surprised that the teak wood was not as warm as in the product images. Assembly was super easy. We did have an issue with one of the back support pieces aligning properly. We reached out to customer service and they responded promptly. A replacement part was shipped within one day. Thanks Neighbor!

I feel duped with this couch. I would return if it wasn't such a pain to disassemble, box it all up, and take to a shipping center. My biggest disappoint are the gaps in the cushions. The photos in the product pages must be renderings or an early sample because that is not what my couch looks like. The product images show a couch that has very tight/snug cushions (my last couch did not and this was really important to me). The seat cushions are fine (wish they had ties on the back to keep them in place) but the back cushions are bad. There are 3-4 diamond shape gaps on both sides of the back/center cushions. It's a huge eyesore in my opinion and is clearly not in the product photos. When I reached out to customer care about it they tried to send me a ugc/unprofessional photo showing a couch with gaps. It made me more angry that they tried to pass that off as an image I should've seen before (it's not on the site). The art dept needs to redo the couch photography/renderings to represent what the actual couch looks like. I'm sure some would not care, but it was important to me to find a couch with no cushion gaps. If you look through more of their brand photography, you'll see that there are people or decorative throw pillows covering the gaps. Lastly, the cushions are very firm. Love the material but there is no back support. We'll have to purchase some lumbar and throw pillows if we want to lounge on this. If I was able to sit on this before buying I probably would've skipped it. Crate and Barrel sell a 12x21 pillow in the dark grey color. I purchased two of those for the sides to see if that helps.

We are loving our new sofa and ottoman. We ordered it at the end of May and knew it would be a bit of a wait until it arrived. I appreciated the updates from Neighbor. Setting up the couch was relatively easy and it looks great on our back porch. As it's starting to cool down, I've noticed we've been spending more and more time outside on the couch each day. That in itself speaks to the comfort of the couch. I do wish the cushions could be tied to the frame... especially the ottoman. They seem to scoot around a bit, and while I've already gotten used to adjusting them all the time, I would love it if I never had to. All in all, I think this was a great purchase for our family!
