Neighbor Sofa W/ Sunbrella Cushion Arms - Sunbrella Coal

Amazed that it arrived in less than week, simple to put together and easy enough to do on my own with extra help only once. It's really comfortable and a great size. Recommend getting the cover to keep it dry and free of debris, it's really easy to pop on/off. Haven't had to clean it yet but I'm not concerned since I can throw the covers in the wash - that was a primary selling feature for me.

I ordered the Neighbor sofa, and two chairs and so far they've been just okay. Each item in the order arrived separately which was frustrating as we couldn't determine how we'd like them all as a set, and fell outside of the return timeline by the time the last item arrived. The construction of the pieces seems good, and overall they were very easy to assemble. This was the biggest plus for us. The biggest issue we've experienced though is comfort. The cushions are rock-hard, and the back cushions are very thin. Because of the netting underneath, the cushions all slide around as you're sitting on them, making it even it even more uncomfortable and meaning you have to rearrange the cushions every time you stand up. Overall, the pieces look fairly nice but for the price, I'm very disappointed in the level of comfort and wouldn't recommend.

Researched this product and reviews extensively before purchasing. Reached out to the Neighbor team for a swatch kit, which was sent complimentary, and included a hand written note, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. We purchased The Sofa on April 26 and received boxes on April 30 - quick shipping! We put the sofa together using the online guides - loved that the Neighbor team was conscious of printing. The quality of the pieces were great, and as described by several other reviews. Really lovely quality. Our issues came when we were finishing assembly - we were missing one set of cushions and hardware to complete the end of the module. I reached out to customer service (Allie was lovely and was able to determine with the distribution center a package was lost by Fedex) and replacement pieces were ordered. I then received the cushions on May 8, but no hardware to complete the module. Reaching back out to customer service, Jenn was awesome as well and packaged up a set to send out. Received the hardware May 12, but it was the incorrect hardware. Reached back out to customer service and new hardware was sent out with the possibility of receiving by May 15, but no hardware has arrived. A bit disappointed with the fulfillment aspect of the product given my research and decision to go online vs local patio furniture store, however as a positive, the customer service team has been extremely responsive. Currently not sure if my husband and I would purchase the remaining pieces of the set given the fulfilment issues experienced, but thus far the quality and craftsmanship of the piece is very well done.

We absolutely love our new Neighbor sofa. The material on the cushions is great quality, and the sofa is so comfortable. Our family of 5 has already spent many nights reading on it. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I absolutely adore this couch aesthetically. The components are well-made and the modular design is very clever and solidly built. I'm also pleased with the quality of the materials. My main issue is with the design of the seat cushions. The seat cushion has a tendency to slip forward when leaning back/lounging (which is the purpose of this furniture). This causes the back cushion to fall behind the seat cushion. This also happens on the chairs (we purchased 2). The arm rests have self-fabric ties at the back to keep them in place, and it seems to be common sense to have the same construction detail on the seat cushion. I will also note that I have never sat on a couch or armchair (inside or outside) of quality which has this same problem. I also find it a little odd that the seat cushion protrudes about 1" further than the front edge of the frame and the front edge of the arm rests. To me, this looks like a mistake. As someone who has worked in design for nearly 25 years, both of these issues (the lack of ties, and seat protrusion) seem to be obvious oversights that could be easily corrected. At the cost of these pieces of furniture, I would expect more attention to detail. As things stand I will have to make the ties for the seat cushions myself because it's pretty frustrating to constantly have to get up, lift the back cushion, and shift the seat cushion back. Unfortunately, making these ties will be time consuming to insert post production, and I don't have the sunbrella fabric to make them out of, but it's the only solution that makes any sense.

This is fantastic for the price. It was easy to put together, looks great in our yard, and feels solid. My two concerns are that a) the cushions are really really stiff and b) the seat cushion slides forward really easily which makes the back cushion fall down into the gap. Every single time we sit on it. I'm overall happy with this, but a bit disappointed in the details.

The couch looks absolutely perfect. However, I do wish I could have seen this in person first, and perhaps then I would have determined that it wasn't what I was looking for at this price point. The black is definitely not as black as I thought it would be, it is much more of a charcoal grey, where it looks almost white between the lines of the ribbing. And next to my black chairs I can tell even more that it really isn't a true black. I also feel like the height of the back of the couch is quite low. This isn't the couch to snuggle into with a good book, under the trees. But it is fine for entertaining and everyone who has come over compliments it. With current supply chain issues and shipping delays, it took 4 months to arrive.

This couch was a huge splurge for me when I bought my house a little over a year and a half ago. The couch is *gorgeous* design, beautifully made, high quality fabric and wood, easy to put together. However, there are some things I wish I had known before purchasing. My house is in Upstate New York, and within several months black mold had grown on the wood. I contacted Neighbor (phenomenal customer service) and they told me which cleaning products to use. From the ads I thought the couch would arrive totally weatherproof, probably naive on my end, but I ended up needing to scrub the wood for hours, then use a different product to seal it, which was a 2-day project that apparently needs to be completed yearly to keep the mold off/ keep the teak color (some people are okay with the silver but I bought it for the beautiful wood color that I thought would last.) Then this month I took off the couch cover after wintertime (ideally I would have brought cushions inside during Winter but we truly don't have space) and a squirrel had nested under the couch cover so there were a bunch of nuts and other items. Cute, but it stained the cushions, and even after I washed them in the machine and tried spot cleaning the stains didn't come out. So only a year and a half out the cushions have permanent stains, which again, isn't Neighbor's fault per se, but the advertising made me feel like this product was infallible and obviously it isn't. I splurged this much because I thought it would stay in great condition forever, and my advice would be to a) not get white covers, get a darker color, b) bring cushions inside during the winter, and c) since this does succumb wear and tear it might be a better option to get a slightly more affordable product, depending on your budget. Like I said, this product is absolutely beautiful, just for me the expense was such that I naively expected it to stay fabulous quality forever.

I was hesitant to purchase such an expensive piece online from a newer company. But after an extensive search for a long lasting outdoor piece, neighbor was one of the few outdoor couches that included true teak, sunbrella fabric, and a design I loved. I am incredibly pleased with this sofa! Just what I wanted. I've had it for a few weeks now. Pros: It looks and feels high quality. Love the design. Top notch customer service during the buying process. Easy to put together. Very comfy, nice cushions on the firmer side. Cons: the bottom cushions do slide forward a bit. I just have to scoot them back each time I get up. Note that I do use this couch tho. I lounge, I'm not sitting nicely facing forward. I'm going to try some grippy liner and expect that will help. It's not an issue tho, they stay on, just scoot, and it's easily fixed.

Love this couch! It's firm but super comfortable, stylishly modern and will likely be durable in Arizona weather. Neighbor is an awesome company and we're extremely satisfied with their customer service and beautiful product. Definitely recommend! Oh and that's my dad in the pics :)
