I read many reviews before purchasing the Ranger, and was still skeptical that such a small thing would work so well. I was worried that the fire wouldn't burn as hot or bright. Well I am a believer now! The fires are so easy to start and all you have to do is keep adding wood. My family and neighbors think it's awesome! I love that it's portable too! Love this fire pit! It's big enough for most smaller logs, and is perfect for our small city patio. Gets nice and warm and the fire looks great.

We are completely satisfied with the Ranger fire pit. We initially weren't sure if we should get the next size up (Bonfire) but decided to go with the Ranger due to the portability. We could not be happier after one use. The Ranger performed as advertised and exceeded our expectations. The clean up was simple and only a minimal amount of ash remained. Our family is looking forward to the next use. In addition, the shipping was very quick and we received the Ranger in under a week.

I ordered a Ranger fire pit and it arrived damaged. :( I contacted customer service and they immediately gave me a prepaid return label to print from my computer. As soon as they verified the damaged product was at the UPS store they shipped a replacement. The replacement arrived quickly. I did not need to wait for them to receive the damaged product and inspect it. The photos I sent them of the dent was enough proof for them. I have used both the Bonfire and the Ranger. They both work as advertised. The perforated plate at the bottom of the burn chamber is thick and rounded like an upside down bowl. The curved surface helps ashes slide down and out of the way of incoming fresh oxygen, to fuel the flames. And it is thicker than what my old fire-pit was made of. It should hold up for a long time. The ranger used smaller wood, but I usually have plenty of odds and ends around as I cut my own wood. If you plan on using this on the road another satisfied user suggested to bring along an old fashioned cross cut hand saw to cut any larger logs in 1/2. It only takes about 20 seconds per log to cut them smaller. I like that the ranger uses less wood than the larger models so you are not going threw all your supply in one night. The best part is what it does not include. Smoke! And any smoke you do have tends to go straight up because of the drafting affect combined with the top ring pushing that flow inwards from all sides. It's like a jet engine without the noise. Only downfall is that the radiant heat is focused back inward instead of out to the feet of people around the fire. But that also helps keep the fire hot and burning, eliminating the need to keep pushing the ends of burnt logs back into the main fire. Overall, very satisfied.

The ranger is the solution we have been looking for. It's lightweight, can be placed nearly anywhere in our backyard and it produces almost no smoke, which makes the experience for us (and our neighbors) infinitely better. We also appreciate you can just use wood to fuel and clean up is a breeze (just lift it up and dump out the ash - for us we dump the ash right into the compost bin). Really happy with our Ranger and have already recommended it to five of our neighbors.

Bought this as a family Easter gift for us and kids to replace a rusted out old firepit. Saw it on a vlog we follow and decided to get the Ranger so it would be easier to take along to campsites or day picnics to state parks. It's amazing and can be easily used by our college and high school sons in the backyard. The sides stay fairly cool, which will be great in summer, but maybe a bigger one if you want to get warm in winter would be nice, too. I see us maybe getting a larger one next year, but really, this is the perfect size to start. We can't wait to cook over it, though we've only done marshmallows as of now. Super hot on top, burns crazy thoroughly, so we've not yet had to douse a fire, because it was taking too long to full burn out. Portable and the complimentary ring for the base definitely would make it safe for a deck or on grass, but we use it on concrete. It's not smokeless if you have stuff that sticks out over the top, but compared to most pits, still way better. Highly recommend!

This firepit was ordered on a Tuesday and arrived on a Thursday with free shipping. You can pack this thing up in it's tote bag and take it anywhere. Perfect size to sit around and have a big ole time. Love it
