Hard to review. It's a propane stove. Turn it up full blast and it's a blow torch! Will blacken steaks, sear vegetables, yummmmy! And it turns down to a nice simmer for soups and warming leftovers. Piezo knob broke the very first time we used the stove. VERY disappointing. Purchased Everest model over the Teton because of rotary knob on piezo. But it broke first use. Back to butane lighters I guess.
We bought this stove so we could cook outside (avoiding restaurants due to the 2020 pandemic. We traveled three-weeks from Kentucky to Michigan to Maine, traversing through thirteen states. I have a Bosch stove (gas burners and an electric oven). This little red wonder performed as well. I could control the burners from high to low. We cooked with local foods: everything from bacon and eggs to Potato Cheese Soup and a hearty vegetable beef stew of leftover filet mignon, with mushrooms, potatoes, and carrots, garlic, and onions. We made pan-fried fresh fish from Maine with wild rice, and kielbasa and saurkraut. I did a lot of research for the best camp stove I could buy. I am happy with my purchase although we had to buy the floor model, as the store was out of stock. I bought the bag to store it in on your website today.
Works great, only used once but it fired right up and boiled water almost instantly.

The regulator on this stove is awful. I've only used this stove a few times and the regulator has been difficult each time, and on my last camping trip it did not work at all. If you get this stove, be sure to bring a back up one to use so your trip isn't ruined by not being able to prepare your food. Apparently other customers have also had poor regulators. I just ordered a replacement regulator, but don't expect it to be any better than the one that came with the stove.
I think this stove is spectacular. I have a pricey (not crazy expensive) GE ADORA home gas range. My gas range sucks in comparison to this little stove. I have much better flame control and it boils water much faster than my range. Get it. Use it. Enjoy it.
I love this little stove. A girlfriend of mine had one when we went to Grand Canyon, and it was awesome how fast it boiled water! A must on those chilly Grand Canyon mornings. After using it there and being impressed, I finally bought my own. The only thing that would make it better is if Camp Chef made a carry case with a place to store the propane adapter so it wouldn't bang around in transport!
I read reviews complaining about this stove. I debated a long time before I purchased. The negative reviews are in my opinion wrong. I wish I did not wait so long before buying it. Flame control is awesome. I cooked last night in 20 mph winds and had zero issues with this stove. Its built well and is lite for transport. If your on the fence with this, just buy it or buy a Coleman and get what you pay for.
A previous review mentioned the "right" burner not producing the same amount of heat as the left, AND with lazy yellow flames. I had the same problem, and read the manual. It mentioned spiders building webs inside the interior and tubes. I took the stove apart [NOT easy, but FUN], and sure enough there was a spider web in one of the tubes. I cleared it out with a bamboo skewer, reassembled, and it was as good as new! Love this stove for camping, even use it outside at home when the days are to hot to cook inside! [Don't have AC, don't need it year round!]
Brought the stove used a few times and now the gas leaks from the join on the arm. It looks like it was only glued together.
I am a boy scout and my troop has two of these stoves, and they work great. You can cook anything with these, and they are not Jetboils, where you it?s boil or off. I cooked pancakes with these where you need low heat, they could do that. Then right after we needed hot water for kp, and it heated the water fast. My troop has slightly older models, but it has the same name, and the only difference is a different igniter position.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
