Magma Crossover Single Burner Camping Stove - CO10-101

This is probably the worst grill I have ever purchased. It has no useful heat adjustment. At the lowest setting it does not get hot enough to cook. Move the nob to any other position and it comes on so hot that all it does is incinerate your food. It has a very nice looking grease collector with wonderful removable foil cups. I am not really sure why they bother with this. With the way it flares up as soon as any grease hits the heat diffuser plate, it is borderline dangerous. Don't be fooled by it's good looking stainless steel exterior. It looks nice. It has lots of cool accessories that I was hoping to use. It is an expensive pile of junk. I wish I had bought it through that major online seller named after a large South American river with free return shipping so I could return it and get my money back.

I received the Magma single burner stove as a gift, as well as a grill top, griddle, and plancha. We use it several times each week, and it performs very well. I obtained an adapter cable to connect a regular 20 lb tank, which improves usability and saves a ton of $$$ by not having to rely on small camping gas bottles. The grill heats quickly and thoroughly. Yes, it has ventilation on the back panel, but in my experience, the heat doesn't escape enough to make it difficult to cook. The grate is substantial and cleans easily. It's not a big grill, so we don't overwhelm it by trying to do too much at one time. It can grill 4 good-sized burgers with no problem, and flare-ups are rare. The plancha top works much better for us than the griddle top, which we've used only once. The plancha is heavy, well-reinforced, and solid. We use it for breakfast foods, and occasionally smashburgers. The grill is small and doesn't take up a ton of floor space. The fold-out shelf is great, offering a space to rest tools, platters, and sauces. I don't think this is a good low-and-slow cooker because there's no way to regulate air flow. But for grilling, it does a fantastic job. My only complaint is the tripod stand is super expensive. Instead, we bought a stainless steel table/cart that works perfectly.

I love the Magma BBQ system. Pick your favorite upper component and grill, sear, griddle or bake...I had bought the two burner base and make pizza, burgers, pancakes or fajitas...now I bought the single burner to take on trips or use for a larger party as a third cook surface. The Magma Single Burner and accessories are absolutely one of the worst products I have ever bought. Substandard design and manufacturing: The grill and pizza oven don't work at all. I ordered a Magma Single Burner camping stove from BBQGuys and all of the add-on devices. Which included the Magma Pizza oven, the Magma Grill, the Plancha Grill, the Magma Griddle Top, and three cases for the above. WHAT IS WRONG: The camping stove needs is poorly made. The lever for the altitude adjustment is flimsy and hard to move and "sticks," but I got the stove working. The main issue is that when you put the grill or the pizza on top of the stove, they do not heat up enough to grill or cook a pizza. For example, when I used the grill, I put the burner on high and let it sit for 15 minutes. When I went to cook, I noticed the temperature gauge on the grill had not moved; it was 100 degrees F. I thought this odd and opened the grill, which was not warm. So, I double-checked the burner and let it run for another 15 minutes. It never warmed up. I am an engineer and somebody who has camped with stoves for over 40 years. I started to troubleshoot it some more and discovered a large open in the back of the grill, and with a mild breeze blowing, all of the heat was escaping. I have never seen a grill with a grill lid with an opening like this. This is also the same issue with the pizza oven. This grill and pizza oven were not appropriately designed and are defective. The Plancha grill came with a scratch and "metal Stains" or rust. (see pictures) The caring cases are poorly designed and worthless. The stove, grill, and pizza oven are bulky and heavy. They each have a handle on them to put them in the case. But you need to rotate the device 90 degrees to insert them, and you can't use the handle. It is almost impossible to insert them. However, the picture on the box and the website cases show a different design that would allow the use of the handles to drop in the device.

I love how easy this was to use and how portable/convenient it is for travel!
