Broil King Regal S 690 PRO IR 6-Burner Propane Gas Grill With Rotisserie & Infrared Side Burner - Stainless Steel - 957944

Assembly was easy, just followed the directions step by step. Put the grill in place and started using it. Found it to work much better than my 5-year-old Char-Broil. Put two chickens on the rotisserie, and they came out perfect. My only problem is finding the correct burner settings. This grill burns very hot. Need to use the burners at a much lower position than my last two old grills. So far, not one complaint.

This is my first Broil King purchase. Second season with it. Great quality manufacturing is evident throughout.

I purchased my Regal 690 pro in 2015 expecting to enjoy a quality grill with a great warranty. After 8 years of use I didn't expect to be having to make the decision as to whether I would invest a lot of money in it or throw it out. Now the igniters don't work, the stainless steel bracket that support them have rusted badly, my burners have rusted so they have either split or the holes have joined together and the flav r wave panels have rusted badly and yes I do open it up and clean it regularly. When I phoned customer service I was told that because of its age it has been re-classified as a signet and there is no warranty on my issues. From the outside it still looks like new but inside it's getting to be un usable. I am deeply disappointed as I spent much more than I planned just to get this model and loved it while it lasted. I guess I should have done more research. I would have added photos but for some reason it won't let me.

Bought this grill (natural gas) last year to replace a 10 year old Weber S670 (ever since they started sourcing parts overseas, their quality tanked). I wanted an American built grill and this one checked all the boxes. 1 year later, and I made a mistake. First, the flareups. OMG! I even bought flame tamers and this thing is like an outdoor fireplace. My neighbors are like "wtf you got going on over there" as the fire and smoke billow like I'm signaling a rescue helicopter. And the burner tubes! I don't think in 10 years I had to rod out the Weber's tubes. When I fired the Broil King up this spring, I had practically zero flame. Sure, the tubes were easy to pull out, but you know how tedious it is to sit there with a needle or thumb tack to clear out each of the hundreds of tiny holes?!? Heat is not consistent front to back in the small section. Side to side in the larger. For $3k, not gonna just throw the thing out, although I'd like to. Already told my 22 y.o. son what to expect when he moves into an apartment after college.

From spiders to living on Lake Erie These are the excuses for it rotting out the burners, knobs melting off 2x and just poor service. They send parts under warranty till warranty ran out. How can the knobs melt? More like a bomb than a barbq. 5 star so maybe it will get posted versus deleted like my other reviews.

Bought the 2018 version of this grill. HUGE waste of money. Originally, unusable ...with temperature range of 500+ to 700+ ONLY. Came without gas flow control (other than burner dials) and way too hot to use. Had to pay to get flow control added, which made it usable...but even then low heat is more like medium heat. Then the main thermometer quit working...and the whole thermometer housing fell off (perhaps due to the excessive heat). Looks nice, but that is it.

This is my first Broil King and after an extensive research and usage over the summer…. I am still impressed. The BBQ provides ample cooking area, with great heat control that can maintain both for slow and searing cooking. We'll built, easy to assemble and looking for years of usage. Then add some Broil King accessories you will not be disappointed.

The 690 is a high quality total performance grill. If you're considering infra red with a huge cooking surface, look no further.

Great even cooking i smoked a brisket on mine for 14 hrs low and slow it kept a steady 225 used my broil king thermometer to monitor the cooking nice heavy build very happy with it.
