Love this grill, great alternative if you don't want the maintenance of a proper ceramic kamado grill. Kudos to Weber for incorporating the kamado concept while staying true to their signature original steel charcoal grill design where it all started. Its like you get the best of both in this model with the durability and ease of maintenance of steel married together to those of us who love Kamado grills. I hope Weber plans to continue with making Kamado grills (i was a little worried they might only make this model for a few years and discontinue it) and continue to improve on this same product line. If I could ask Weber to improve one thing important to me: Please make an OEM rotisserie spit that is designed to fit this grill! I hope enough customers want this like me. Kamado grill enthusiasts also love specialized pizza stone and accessories too... so my humble suggestion to Weber is to keep building a loyal following to compete against Kamado Joe!

Product: The Weber SK S6 is a magnificent grill. Everything about its operation is intuitive, and even most of that is still simplified, from installing and replacing the propane tanks to preparing all manner of foods. Large grilling and side work station prep areas making cooking for 2 or 8 people a breeze. From ignition to temperature control and clean-up, all aspects of its operation are a breeze. It's not inexpensive, but it's extremely well thought out, designed, and built. Moving up from a borrowed $48 Smokey Joe (really!), this is a quantum leap forward in barbecues, and a beautiful addition to our back yard. Customer Service: Our grill arrived with a missing rivet from the lid. Did not hinder its operation but worth noting for the purpose of this review. Simply one of the best customer service experiences I've had: both Weber and the retailer stayed on top of this until a replacement lid could be delivered and installed on site less than a month later. Kudos to Emigh's Outdoor Living in Sacramento and an added gold star to Cecilia on Weber's HQ Customer Service team for the seamless handling of this effort. When you buy a world class product you expect world class service, and I was not disappointed. Overall: Five Stars and highly recommended.

Overall, I'm really enjoying my new grill. The only knock that I have is that I wish there were a built-in hanger for the diffuser plate. Other than that, it's a great design that feels like it will last.

"A Weber Kamado kettle? Are you serious?" This was my thought after I decided that my love for grilling justified a major monetary expenditure. And, yes, this thing will cost, but doesn't love always cost is some ways? It is simply brilliant. I holds Temps like a boss and it reaches astronomical temps in a heartbeat. Plus, it is just plain fun. It's like a jeep. You can add all kinds of ingenious accessories (I have the wok, the pizza stone, the searing rack, and that electronic grilling center) and your grill buds will get a serious case of grill envy. It is big, but the more of it there is the more there is to love. Here are some pics of what we have done sp.far

Great grill, but so far, not so good. Grill was delivered with rivet missing from lid. Replacement lid was ordered and was delivered damaged with a large chip missing from the front of the lid. So far I've experienced timely and proper handling, but I see lots of improvements possible in your QC area…

The only thing I would change is adding some way to raise and lower the coals after theyve been lit so you can switch from lower to higher heat safely.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this grill. I compared it to Kamado Joe, Big Green Egg and various other Kamado style cookers. My biggest hesitation was the cost and not being able to see the grill before purchasing (at the time no one in my area carried one in stock). I was able to finally put hands on one and purchased it immediately. Various reviews on YouTube do not do it justice. The grill is fantastic! Mine did not have the charcoal bag that was suppose to be included (letter stated it was out of stock at the time), so I called Weber and they two day shipped me one. Customer service was amazing. The grill holds temps like a champ. I've used it about a dozen times over the two/three weeks I've had it and it has performed perfectly.

Sturdy construction all around. Holds heat exceptionally well. Propane charcoal starter is great. Vent system allows perfect temp control. Grate is very well designed. Highly recommend!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
