Great grill, but leaks smoke around the back of the lid.

Awesome grill/smoker. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the leg assembly. The screw holes never align right. Could definitely be better designed. The grill itself hold heat for a very long time and could get up in very high temp.

Best Charcoal Grill every owned and reason being it hold heat very well and the options for even smoking low and slow and its a real sturdy grill that will last for years.
Love the Summit, used many times for smoking brisket, plus beef spare ribs and pork baby back ribs, even turkey breasts. Excellent heat retention and constant temps make long cooks a breeze. Have used one batch of lump charcoal for up to 12 hours of smoking time. Clean-up of ash is very easy, and the grill can be used for high temps as well. I have done great pizzas on the accessory stone insert. The unit is well built and solid, looks like it will last a long time.

We've only had the E6 about a month and have only completed a few cooking sessions getting to know the unit. In general, it runs much hotter than a standard Weber kettle. We are still learning how to control the temperature. We typically like to run 4-5 hour smoking sessions and hope to use the E6, without the need to reload coals. We'll keep you posted on our progress in learning about charcoal consumption. The unit was shipped to us directly from Weber. Assembly took about 2-3 hours. The assembly instructions were good. One leg had a threaded bushing that appeared to be the wrong size. Fortunately we had a stock of fasteners that we drew from to find a screw that worked with this one bushing. Everything else about the assembly was very straight forward. The packaging the unit was shipped in was virtually all easily recyclable with the exception of a few plastic bags and pieces of plastic. Kudos to Weber.

Have used it 1/2 dozen times now, just now starting to understand how to control the temp. Thing gets hot for sure, very hot, the low and slow is different than I am use to but achievable once you figure it out. Doesn't use much charcoal, very stable to roll around, coming from kettles thats appreciated. Everything we have smoked or grilled has been great so far, honestly no complaints.
I bought this because I prefer Kamado smoking and grilling over my Pellet or offset. I needed to be able to cook larger cooks, like two turkey's. My 18 inch just can't do that. I have done the turkey, ribs, and 1.5 inch cut pork steaks. I am still getting used to the vent setings but was adle to hold temp easily. Accept when opening the lid the vent moves under its own weight, please increase its resistance if Weber is reading this. Last thing I am used to more head space between the charcoal and heat deflector, I think I would have to add more charcoal for a long cook like pork butt or brisket. I love the size and it is well built.
This Weber Kamado grill is the best grill out there. The price is up there, so of course it deters many customers. But I wish I would've bought this grill first before any kettles were purchased. The temperature holds for a very long time, which makes it great for long smoking sessions. It's hard to get used to if you're coming from a regular kettle grill, since regular kettles lose heat quickly.
This is an absolute, hands down one of the best cooking inventions humans have created for cooking and smoking eateries. The double wall invention holds in the temperature even in sub-artic conditions where I live. The inner chamber temperature is never effected and holds either the smoking, or grilling temps perfect, once you understand the charcoal layering technique. The ceramic coating works brilliantly and the shielding base plate works beautifully, once you dial in your very own expressions on the flap openings. I can not stress the efficency and well design of the double wall insulation and the effect that it has in colder climate when smoking for an 18 hours cook. It holds in the gentle heat perfect, even at 15 degrees Fahrenheit, outside temperature, the internal heat is unaffected. I only wish that Weber kept the original heating shield. It was awesome!
I got this to replace my previous Weber grill that I had to let go of when I moved. I have been wanting a Kamado-style grill for a long time, but when I looked at the expense and weight of a traditional ceramic kamado grill, I had second thoughts. I bought this lighter Weber alternative just before Thanksgiving and used it to do our turkey. This grill is fantastic! The heat retention is superb, it makes very efficient use of the charcoal, and the temperature is easy to regulate. I have been a fan and owner of Weber grills for at least 30 years, and this is the ultimate.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
