Weber 7003 SmokeFire 36-Inch Front Table

Good sturdy front table. Like that it fold down a d also holds the upper grill rack behind it.

They look great, but they're a little tough to secure in the horizontal position & release to fold down. That should get better with use based on the design. They are not as deep as I thought they would be so you really can't put a serving platter on them while you open & close the lid. Not as sturdy as I hoped for either, but better than not having them.

The manufacturing and packaging of the product was very good. However, the attachment of the shelves to the body of the grill is potentially problematic. Also, the shelves grate of the attachment surface when moving the shelves into place. Insertion of the shelves into the secure upright position requires too much force, which in turn will affect their attachment to the main body of the grill. Once into position, the handle of the grill lid hits on anything sitting on the shelves.

The shelf is the perfect accessory to the grill. It is definitely something that was missing, but for it to be a two sided folding shelf, home run Weber. As always, great quality. I love it!

The folding front shelves are wonderful! The make a huge difference in loading and unloading the grilling surface! They fold down easily and the cover still fits nicely. I would recommend this product to any with a SmokeFire grill!

I liked the concept of having a front shelf but would prefer to have had just a fixed shelf. I am disappointed in the method of how this split shelf folds away and anticipate that I will always leave it up. Also, information regarding the shelf indicated that the Weber smokefire cover would still work. Although it does somewhat work for the front shelf, it does not work if you install both the front and side shelves.

Flimsy, could be better the split setup makes it look weak in the middle. Cheaper than the custom custom single shelf, for now

The Smokefire desperately needs more shelf space, but this new folding front shelf is a major disappointment. The design has some fundamental flaws. Most noticeably, the shelf simply does not have much strength to support heavy trays of meat. You could not trust it to hold your brisket, ribs, or pork butt. Second, it is too shallow, meaning if you have a tray on the shelf you cannot open or close the lid because the lid handle will interfere with what is on your tray. Third, it is very difficult to clean when drippings fall down onto the shelf and the nooks and crannies on the inner-part of the shelf. This is very poorly designed - not what I expected from Weber. It is also very expensive and over-priced. The Smokefire should come with built-in shelves, but they need to start from scratch with the design as these are almost useless.

Assemble is ridiculous. Why is the ex6 split? Installation is easy but finally results are flimsy, won't fall off, but a lot of movement. Wire shelve hanger is worthless if you want to empty the ash tray while grate is hanging. Just a disappointment!

The new front shelf works fine. It is more flimsy than I expected but will do the job. It's rated to hold 20 lbs so I expect there will not be any problem.
