Firepot disassembly for my 10-year-old Traeger Junior was simple and straightforward with great help from Traeger support with lots of videos at Traeger and on YouTube. The only problem I encountered was getting the hot rod out but once the firepot was out of the grill, a squirt of WD-40 loosed it up. Other than rust, the olf firepot was in good shape so I wirebrushed it, soaked it in rust remover then painted it with rust reformer and a high temp top coat then saved it for a backup. I have now completely replaced everthing but the auger on this grilland it's running like brand new.
Super easy to install and got my Traeger up and running.
The part arrived in three days and it was a simple fix that took maybe 10 minutes.
The part fit perfectly, and I really appreciate that this version of the Traeger (considering it's age) has parts available to maintain it. Plus the ease of maintaining it is great.
The replacement firepot is perfect, but the replacement job itself was really difficult because of the overall design. It's very difficult to maneuver the firepot so it can be removed from the electric fire source, and even more difficult to get the new one in place. I ended up pulling too hard and disconnecting the wires from the fire source end - which it appears a repair will now involve disassembling the grill. But hey, had to try - my old firepot was shot.

This is not identical to the firepot coming out of the original BBQ075, but close enough. The fireport I removed from my Oregon made BBQ075 appears to be carbon steel instead of stainless steel. I anticipate the new stainless steel firepot will last longer than the original firepot which lasted a very long time before getting large corrosion holes which prevented the grill from getting above 300 F. The original firepot out of my BBQ075 had 9 holes, the replacement 7 holes. The original firetpot used an allen head set screw to hold the hotrod/ignitor in place while the replacement uses a simple screw that is narrower diameter. Finally the very nice wing nut screws which came with the new firepot were not usable. The firepot on the original BBQ075 was attached with sheet metal screws and the resulting holes too large for the wingnut screws. I used 4 new, stainless steel self tapping sheet metal screws to secure the firepot. Nonetheless the new stainless steel firepot appears to perform very well. Grill was back up to 425 F.
Installation of the fire pot went smoothly Plus I added some extra items (see photos)

The instructions sent made replacement very easy. The new part solved my problem.
Came with thumb screws to mount it which I couldn't use. Had to use the old screws over

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
