The latch is a tad difficult to use, and a suggestion to raise price and send a pizza paddle would be my suggestion. I wish we would have know how hard it is to put in and retrieve without a pizza paddle.

We tried making pizza on our KamadoJoe before owning the pizza oven accessory and the difference using the Dojoe is amazing. The crust comes out delicious and the same each time vs too crispy or chewy. It really perfects the process.

just got my dojo and used it for the first time over the weekend. pizzas came out perfect like a wood oven! an added benefit after your done cooking is the high temperature cleans your fire box and kettle!

I have to say this is one amazing pizza oven. I wish I had bought this before I had bought my Alpha 5 oven. It is way better.

I used this once, the pizza was good but when I removed the DoJoe the bottom Big Joe III gasket was stuck to the bottom of the DoJoe and tore away from the grill. This was a gift.

I think I was just excited to be able to use the Kamado as a pizza oven. I should have done more research. This thing really beat up the gasket and the felt appears to be coming up near the back of the Kamado. I'm considering not ever using it again as I don't think I want to replace the gasket prematurely. During the cook, it started to not fit properly and there were gaps opening around the area of the Kamado that met with the top of DoJoe. I tried to reset it but it did not help. I realized afterwards that this was the gasket getting beat up. I'm disappointed in this product. The Kamado (big Joe) is amazing and I think these types of gimmicks are just not worth it. I see that it would just cause unnecessary wear. I'll just try to make pizza without this accessory (expen$ive lesson learned). Others noted you cannot properly cool down the coals which is 100% correct. I think this added to the gasket damage. Maybe it works well for others, but I know over time the gasket will need replacing.

If you have an old classic like me, you have to buy the divided heat deflectors for it which adds to the already steep cost. Also, there is no way to add wood chunks while the DoJoe is in place without taking it off , which is heavy, hot and defeats the purpose of trying to keep the heat in.

Unfortunately the pizza paddle for Classic Joe II does not fit inside the DoJoe making it worthless to cook a pizza with. Very disappointing.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
