All reviews and YouTube videos look easy and everyone just unscrews to add the brackets; however my rivets spin with the screw. Called support, the was nice but couldn't help me. Any thoughts?

I've read many reviews about this shelf, so I felt it necessary to add my own words. Many reviewers mention that the shelf isn't flat or that the shelf slopes away from the grill. When I was installing the shelf on my 780, I noticed that the mounting holes in the supplied shelf brackets have slightly larger holes than what is really needed for the screws to pass through. These oversized holes allow you to adjust the slope/pitch of your shelf slightly. I was able to get my shelf to fit exactly level with the grill surface with little effort. And it still folds down and locks into place perfectly. When the shelf is lowered, I noticed that the edge around the shelf hits against the legs of the grill. Over time, or a few accidental times of letting the shelf go to fast, will cause the paint to wear or chip away from the underside lip of the shelf and/or the legs. I took a 1 inch section of that black car door edge guard material and added it to the lip on the underside of the shelf. Is this necessary, no. But it bothered me so I found a cheap and easy solution. You could easily do the same thing with a old peice of automotive door sill trim. That would have more cushion. Many reviewers wish the shelf came included with the cost of the grill. I do agree that a Traeger grill is an expensive purchase and absolutely a luxury item. But once you have the opportunity to sample food cooked on a Traeger you quickly learn that they're worth the expense. And if Traeger owners woke up one day to find their grill missing, I guarantee they'd be out buying a new one within a week.

Had high hopes for this shelf - despite the fact that it's not included w/a grill - but it's nearly useless. It neither extends perfectly straight out (tilts down toward the user) & is made with a teflon like coating so that anything that's placed on it simply slides right off. Frustrated that I had to buy a shelf in the first place, more frustrated that it wasn't well thought out as is essentially useless.

Disappointing that this isn't included on their "pro" series. I'm new to the smoking scene and so far love my Traeger and everything I've got for it but but feel like I'm being nickeled and dimed when I have to buy these things separate.

I trust this shelf to hold alot of valuable and delicious food. It does so well. It is strong when locked and smooth when folding. Fits under the cover without snagging. Thick and durable shelf. For the price, it should be.... and definitely does!

Wouldn't do without it, too bad Treager doesn't offer it as a standard item.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
