Traeger Timberline 1300 FAQ
Is the Traeger Timberline 1300 discontinued?
The Timberline 1300 is a current model in the Traeger lineup! They have introduced the upgraded Timberline XL, but it doesn't replace the 1300.
How big is the Traeger Timberline 1300?
The cooking grid is 34 x 16. The overall grill dimensions are 58 wide, 28 deep, and 51 high. The grill weighs in at 238 lbs.

How can you use a Traeger Timberline 1300?
To paraphrase Bubba Gump, you can grill on it, you can smoke on it, you can sear on it, you can bake on it, you can roast on it, and you can braise on it.

Customer Reviews
I've had my timberline for a little over a year now. I do love how my food turns out. Everything is amazing and there is nothing better than to set it and forget it and go enjoy a beer while it slow cooks my ribeye to perfection. However, I do have one beef with it. I feel like the Grease Management System is faulty, Even though my drip tray is installed correctly it doesn't seem to angle enough towards the front. Like the brackets in the back need to be higher. Everytime I cook the grease piles up on the sides of my drip tray so if I'm mid cook and I need to up the temperature to sear something I can catch my grill on fire because nothing is draining properly. I feel the system that they have on other models is a far better way to take care of grease and because of that I'm going to be purchasing an Ironwood soon. I still love Traeger and I will be a forever customer of their's. The Timberline is just not for me sadly.

i am a weekend warrior but I have used it several times and so far so good. I had to learn how to operate it and still getting used to it
I have had the Timberline 1300 for about a month now and I couldn't be more disappointed. You will never get the smoke flavor that you expect out of this grill. After an unsuccessful pork but with no smoke flavor I bought a brisket and cut it into thirds just to try different things to get the flavor I am looking for. I tried pellets from different manufacturers. I did a brisket at 180 on super smoke until it hit 165 then took it up to 225. Put the meat on the tops shelf. I really wanted it to deliver the taste I am looking for because the grill really is easy to operate and maintain temp. However, there isn't much I can do on this grill that I can't do in my convention over because it doesn't influence the flavor. I should of looked at the most recent reviews before purchasing. They are all one or two stars. It is also is strange that I reputable company wouldn't have a satisfaction guarantee. Since I purchased this through a local dealer they are allowing me to return it and I am returning it for a Big Green Egg.

Bought this beauty for my husband at Christmas. He is BEYOND happy with his gift! Ran immediately to the store to buy meat to start cooking and trying it out! Everything he has cooked is Delicious! He loves the technology that comes when the Traeger as well! Set it and forget it!

I wish I could review the product; guidelines say avoid writing about customer service. I purchased the frill in December at a trade show in Las Vegas. I have been looking but seeing it in person and talking to the salesperson had me almost sold. I pulled the trigger when it was guaranteed to arrive before Christmas. On December 15 I received an email that my girll was on the way, the delivery date said will arrive on December 27, 2021. I called Treager and I was told not to worry as the dates will change and any grill purchase on the date that I bought mine would arrive before Christmas. I waited a week and called Treager back as the date had not changed. I once again talked to a very nicer person who assured me that after talking to his supervisor that my grill would arrive before Christmas. Well Christmas came and went and it still said that My Grill was to arrive on the 12/27/2021/ So I took the day off work to be home when the grill came. and about noon I received "Delivery exception Consignee closed for holiday Seattle, WA" so I called Treager to see if they had any information. I was told that I could check with Fedex. that was all. So to review Treager, I can only review their integrity. I would have been okay with it will arrive before New Year, I would have been okay with Honesty on the phone but the lack of integrity in what I can only assume was to make the sale makes me very skeptical about this company and the grill. I fear the service that I may receive if something happens to the grill. Integrity is high on my list and so far Traeger fails. I hope I can add a positive review when I use the product, if I get the product.

Let's start with the cons #1wifire (wifi) doesn't connect lots of people have issues look up YouTube videos to see if you have the correct wifi it needs . #2 Buy a ash vacuum before your third smoke your gonna need it ,Or you won't smoke. #3 Buy lots of foil the drip pans get expensive I replace foil every cook so you don't get bad smoke from your last cook droppings. #4 Price, it's expensive but impressive buy a cover your have to. #5 doesn't count cause I knew what I was buying but I'm a big fan of open flame searing . Pros #1 auger /pellet chamber amazing ,display amazing, durable all around ,no smoke leaks #2 smokes are great very easy super smoke mode is beast. #3 easy set up do the burn off. #4 it's big you shouldn't have a problem smoking as much as you want. #5 worth the money if everything works like wifi ,I wouldn't take it back I use it for only smoking . Ps. The grill cover is the best fit I've ever seen on a grill. Perfect clean smoke cooks amazing temperature is within 10 degrees really recommend this grill to anyone in really cold/snow states

I've now owned this for over a year now. I smoke many briskets, they come out superb! I mean really darn good. However, I hate two things about this grill. 1). The drip tray is too small, nearly overflows when smoking a brisket. Don't even try two of them! It has a hook at the end of the tray that makes you top it in order to remove it. Grease spills every where . Then you have to tend to the mess on the deck. 2). The lowest setting is 160 degrees. Kind of annoying when trying to smoke salmon! You need temp to be about 130 to 140 so the salmon doesn't cook to quickly. It needs improvements to get 5 star rating.
I assembled my Timberline 1300 ( well, my friend did most of the work) over the weekend. This company is serious about their products. I have never seen such thick grill grates, and opening the lid is almost a two arm deal, its so heavy. Connecting WiFi was super easy, and I am looking forward to using the app for more than just notification that my grill has reached set temp. Sunday morning we cooked breakfast of hashbrowns, eggs, and bacon on it. For supper, bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breasts, with garden fresh baked potatoes, as well as Roasted Root vegetables. Both meals were outstanding. I wasn't so sure about the Premium blend of wood pellets, but they gave a wonderful sweet-smoky addition to the flavors of the veggies. I am looking forward to many years of awesome food from this grill! I would recommend this grill to anyone.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
