Traeger Timberline 1300 FAQ
Is the Traeger Timberline 1300 discontinued?
The Timberline 1300 is a current model in the Traeger lineup! They have introduced the upgraded Timberline XL, but it doesn't replace the 1300.
How big is the Traeger Timberline 1300?
The cooking grid is 34 x 16. The overall grill dimensions are 58 wide, 28 deep, and 51 high. The grill weighs in at 238 lbs.

Pretty sweet... First time use we did a Brisket, a big pork shoulder, 3 racks of ribs and 3 chickens all for one party. Everything came out perfectly. Only drawback so far is that this thing burns through some serious pellets. I've already used two full bags.

I have the 1300 and I have made some of the best ribs and pulled pork in my life on this smoker. Set it and just about forget it. Other than spraying apple juice on the meats, it does everything for you. I have made 8 slabs of baby backs and over 30 pieces of chicken at one time and didn't even use the top rack. It maintains temperature very well and the ap on my phone makes monitoring easy. I highly recommend this beast to anyone looking to impress and create some of the best foods ever. Salmon is amazing, a 12 pound pork shoulder came out fall off the bone and juicy. I will be doing 2 turkeys in it this year. I have had mine since 12/21. MJW
I purchased this the Timberline 1300 back in Sep 2020 to the surprise of my wife. To this day I don't regret it at all, it was by far the best purchase I've made in years! Family and friends are always excited when we have them over to smoke some meats.

Timberline 1300 ruined cookout. Twice took more than one hour to light and then one hour to reach 300 degrees. Fire out after one hour of cooking and then two hours to relight. Changed the Traeger pellets for new bag assuming there was something wrong with first bag. Similar misadventure on subsequent effort. Grill cannot be returned. Avoid this and pick different brand.
Been using Traeger bbq for 35 year still have my original. Currently purchased a timberline 1300 many upgrades from my old traegers. Enjoying the extra grilling space in the app on my phone to keep track of our grilling. I recommend Traeger grills 100%.

Extremely happy with my traeger, only complaint that I have is the middle rack is warped and doesn't fit in the brackets. Haven't been able to find a replacement, so grill is limited in its functionality.
We've had this for a couple of years and have to say that it never fails to disappoint our family. First it was the fan turning off in the middle of a cook. That was a great thing to have happen during family bbqs. The customer service sent a new fan and that did not solve the issue. The next part sent was the controller. This seems to have fixed the issue with the fan. Now all there is to contend with is frequent over temps (gets over 500 degrees and has to be shut down) slow ignition warnings and a hopper that doesn't seem to read the pellet level correctly even after calibration. This is our third Traeger and most likely our last. Stay away from them they are not the same as they were even 10 years ago.

I just got this grill 1 week ago so I've only had a chance to cook a pork butt on it. And it came out perfect. Set up was quick and easy and the Traeger app is amazing. You will not get the same same smoke as an off set smoker (with hours of babysitting the smoker), but the ease of use is worth it. So far this is an amazing grill. My only disappointment is that they just announce the new model which is exactly what I'm looking for in my outdoor kitchen. If I had just waited another week or two I would have gotten exactly what I needed. Instead I need to figure out how to make this grill work in my outdoor kitchen. :-(

I've had mine for almost a year now. Love it! Pizza's to smoking chicken, pork or beef! Especially during summer time when it's hot outside. Or when you have other things to take care of or having some fun. It's almost like set it and forget it. With it linked to your phone. You can see what the grill temp is, prob temp of what your cooking is. You can change it on the fly. It's impressive for sure and a ton of features that come with the Timberline 1300. Great if you have a lot of cooking to do.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
