Traeger Timberline 1300 FAQ
Is the Traeger Timberline 1300 discontinued?
The Timberline 1300 is a current model in the Traeger lineup! They have introduced the upgraded Timberline XL, but it doesn't replace the 1300.
How big is the Traeger Timberline 1300?
The cooking grid is 34 x 16. The overall grill dimensions are 58 wide, 28 deep, and 51 high. The grill weighs in at 238 lbs.
How do you ignite a Traeger Timberline 1300?
The Traeger Turbotemp handles this. When you press the IGNITE button, the ignition and preheat cycle begin. In the unlikely event the mechanism fails, you can light the grill manually using the included instructions.
How hot will a Traeger Timberline 1300 get?
The Timberline 1300 will reach temperatures of 500 degrees Fahrenheit. This is enough heat to properly grill steaks. And of course, the Timberline 1300 can also operate as low as 165 degrees to give you the perfect range for low and slow smoking.
How can you use a Traeger Timberline 1300?
To paraphrase Bubba Gump, you can grill on it, you can smoke on it, you can sear on it, you can bake on it, you can roast on it, and you can braise on it.

Customer Reviews
The Timberline 1300 would have received 5 stars if it were not for the problems it has had connecting to the WiFire application. I have run through the problem with Traeger's customer service and they had no solution and still have not sent any additional information or timeline related to a solution. This is apparently a very common issue with Traeger right now. Other than that the grill cooks very well and is nice. It would just be nice to have the phone application working and a customer service department that was responsive with the status of the solution.

The size of this grill is perfect for our family of 8. The display is easy to operate and the thing cooks like a dream!!! My one. Huge problem is the WiFire, it simply does not work. I saw some reviews with the same complaints before I bought it but I was hoping to be the exception. The programming they use needs to be fixed. I paid a lot of money on the 1300 and I did so because of the wiFire promise. I'm sadly disappointed.

I was extremely excited to purchase the Timberline 1300 but it's become a nightmare! I've been able to get through most of the issues by trial and error but finally hit a snag I can't recover from. First of all, the WiFi is extremely frustrating. It doesn't connect no matter how many times I've tried (and I try every time I fire the grill up). I vacuum out the grill every other smoke just to keep things clean and do a deeper cleaning every 3rd or 4th smoke depending on what it is and how long it's run. However, even with warmer temps, 2/3 of the time I fire it up the grill never starts properly. I have to shut it down, go through the 15 min cycle, power it off, and then try it again. This happens with 2 our of every 3 cooks I do on this thing and usually I can get it fired up on the second try. Unfortunately, yesterday (and again today) I couldn't get it to fire up at all...the Hot Rod isn't getting hot. This is frustrating since the grill is only 6 months old but I do use it 2x per week. What's even more frustrating is that when I call in for support it's a 50-55 min wait. They give me the option of keeping my place in line and getting a call back so I take it. Nothing...no call back...this was at 4 PM yesterday and almost 24 hours later I STILL haven't received a call back. Last night I DM Traeger Support on Twitter and, while upset that no one called back yesterday as they were supposed to, I was excited to get a response. They asked for my name and phone number and would have someone reach out. That was at 9:56 AM. Never heard from anyone. Called back again...nothing. Messaged them back on Twitter at 1:30 PM...nothing. So far, I've heard nothing from Traeger! No support, I have a grill that is only 6 months old and doesn't work, and frustrated with the lack of response from them. What else do I need to do to get your attention Traeger??!!! I understand the guidelines mention to avoid writing about customer service but I've already reached out...SEVERAL TIME
Very easy to use makes me look like a master grill master.

We LOVE our new grill! Can't believe we waited so long to get a grill, but it led us to our Treager and we could not be happier. Extremely easy to set up, and even easier to use, this grill is a dream. We are still leaning and exploring about it, and very happy about that. Some may wonder about the price -- it is honestly worth every penny. Thank you for designing such a fabulous grill, Treager!
Bought mine from a neighbor who was moving, he only used it once. It was great for the first few months. I have had it break on me 2 different times for very bid occasions. Superbowl and Thanksgiving. The last time I was smoking some ribs and it dropped temp so I had to finish in a crock-pot. It also doesn't get as hot as advertised I have replaced the auger motor which was a nightmare due to the archaic design of the inside(where auger and fan and electric components are). Mine is a 1st generation Timberline 1300. In replacing the auger motor, the inner temp probe was damaged so I now need to replace that and I can't even get it or the auger replacement on Traeger's website. I have spent so many hours on hold waiting for help to trouble shoot. I feel like I have to replace all the inside parts this time around while replacing the auger, gasket and auger bolt since it is such a pain to get inside this thing. I assume the newer generation models were more thoughtfully planned and designed for repairs. I wish I could use my grill so bad but I will have to wait until the parts come to see if I can get it up an running again, for a few more smokes.

I've only had for a month but, have had 0 issues. Everything works as advertised.
You didn't send me a grill handle. Thanks for ruining the weekend. This thing sucks and I want to send it back.

Purchased the Timberline 1300, refuses to connect to WiFi even when basically sitting on the range extender. Trouble shooting instructions on app don't match grill menu. Dealer says call Traeger and Traeger doesn't return calls. So disappointing, now stuck trying to deal with this lemon.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
