Broil King Regal 500 Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Controlled 32-Inch Pellet Grill - 496051

I've had my Regal 400 pellet smoker grill for a month. The GOOD: I have produce some really good smoked goods, as well as grill food - I favorite was the rotisserie sausage stuffed, pesto basted chicken. The Tech Support have been very helpful (actually the regional sales manager). The unit is very solid and should last for years. Cleaning is the easiest I have ever experienced. The BAD (but resolved) - controller had to be replaced. The newer controller behaves as expected and is a newer version than the original. Some manufacturing over sights (one end of the handle was not threaded, one axle was not tack welded), unit leaks smoke. The app leaves a lot to be desired but works for the most part. UPGRADES: Improve quality control. Add an outlet for the rotisserie to save tying up two outlets. A front shelf or larger side shelf would be great. Add-ons like a warming box or cold smoker box would also be awesome.

Have brand new Regal 400. All of a sudden want light. Called Broil King and sent new hot rod which took over two weeks to get. Finally got and replaced and still not lighting. Had a Traeger for 7 years and never had trouble. Now what Broil King???

The auger plugged after the first use. I have to empty it every time I use the grill. After 4 uses the glow stick quit working. Its the weekend so I will contact customer support tomorrow. So far this is a piece of junk that I wish I would not have bought. I gave it two stars because it is nice when it works. And the app works with android devices so you can ignore those comments.

This is a great product! I did quite a lot of research prior to purchasing this grill in 2019. I have used it extensively over the past year and it has performed exceptionally! The grill automatically controls temp over long smoke times which is a great convenience vs. having to continually check temp. I use it 1x - 2x per week, even throughout the winter and it works flawlessly every time.

I spent a lot of money on this grill and not impressed so far. Not the flavour I thought it would produce. In Fact the flavour is not there at all. Maybe I?m not using it correctly but I have used charcoal for years and find it much better to cook on. The heat inside the grill does not seem to be there either. I?m thinking I should have saved my money. I was really excited about getting a pellet grill. This one is well built. But not

I acquired my Regal400 just over a week now and already have gone through 100lbs of pellets. As someone who?s been cooking with a pellet grill for the past 4+ years, size for size, pound for pound I can honestly tell you this grill does not even compare to the other common popular brands. I have been looking at getting one as far back as 2018 when I first saw a pre production model then used one at a BBQ competition in 2019. Ive done low and slow and hot and fast cooks and oh my, does it get hot! Definitely put this model or the 500 on your very short list!

Alittle dissapointed... Smoke comes out of pellet hopper and grease tray. Also smoke leaks out of left side of door. Temperature does not hold well and burns alot of pellets. Nice design and is built like a tank but these issues need to be addressed .

I have had this grill for 2 months and absolutely love it. I have been smoking with a bradley smoker for many years so not new to the game. I love how this grill gets to temperature and stays there. I have had temperature swings up To 20 degrees but usually gets back fairly quick. Did rib steaks at 500 degrees and they were the best steaks I have ever had. Slow smoked pulled pork and it was awesome. The easy clean out for the pot is perfect. I would recommend wrapping the grease trays with foil as it makes for easy cleaning. The only bad thing I have to say is that the 2 legs with wheels have welded bolts. They have sprayed the threads with paint and I did snap one of the bolts off when I got it. Broil King replaced no questions asked for free and I had it in 5 days which was great. I would recommend cleaning the threads with a wire brush and then the nut goes on easy. Great job Broil King!

Love my smoker, I've had it for almost a year now and have used it multiple times and I've had amazing results. My only issue is that the probes are showing a temp that's about 15 degrees more from what it should be, I have 4 other digital meat probes that I used to compare temperatures and the Broil King ones are significantly off every time. Unfortunately I learned that the hard way the first time I made a roast and it was well done instead of medium rare. My Broil King dealer got me some new probes but they have the same temp problem, so I just use my own probes for now and the app is useless to me without properly working probes. For the money spent on this unit I expected a quality product so I will not settle on faulty probes. Currently my dealer and Broil King are working on a solution. Other than that the smoker has worked flawlessly.
