Customer Reviews
Overall a great unit. I cooked my first breakfast on it and there was plenty of space for everything. My only complaints are 1) the griddle is really heavy, and 2) I had some minor issues with holes lining up during assembly. I felt it could have been engineered a little bit better.
This grill has been a win-win. Use it camping, cooks everything that you can think of all at the same time. Very helpful during sporting events. Love the portability of this grill without occupying a lot of space. Have not found anything I do not like about this grill.
This grill takes grilling to the next level! We have had a great time making everything from burgers and fries to eggs and bacon. It even has a bottle opener! Look no further this is your grill! Bought it for the grill/ flattop combo but LOVE the flat top!
We've had this grill for almost 2 years and it has paid for itself about 5x over. It makes grilling easy and is extremely versatile. I've never used the grill grates underneath (just to protect the burners), but I'm confident that would work just as well as the flat top for many things. Last summer, we used this grill 5-6 nights a week and loved everything it produced. I got lucky to find a deal at BJs for $199, but it's well worth the $449 price tag.

Had to sell my Blackstone for a few reasons and instead of joining that cult again I started doing some research. After days of watching videos, reading reviews and talking to people I came to the conclusion that Camp Chef built a MUCH better product; boy was I wrong. The FTG600 arrived in good condition, but upon opening I could tell something was wrong. The inside packaging was already destroyed and the hardware was already opened. It seems like this was a returned unit that got re-listed and sold as new (at full price, mind you). I persisted anyway, because why not? And then we started seeing the damages: bends in the griddle top, the match stick holder chain broken off and actually wedged underneath the burners, scratches and scuffs on various other pieces. Aside from the damages, putting the griddle together was extremely difficult. It took four people just to attach the shelves because the legs were so bent that they had to be forced into place. And then the stripped screws! For a product that is allegedly so well built, I was somehow able to strip multiple screws just by hand tightening them with a screwdriver, thus making a return impossible. We were also missing the tank bracket. I would not recommend this product to anyone and I would love to hear how Camp Chef is going to make this right. If I had it to do over again, I would just get another Blackstone; not because it's a better product, but at least it was easy to put together and I've never seen one arrive damaged or re-packaged and sold as brand new despite being returned.
We are enjoying this flattop. The grill has very consistent heat over the entire cooktop. Great for breakfasts and lunch/dinners. We wanted the versatility of a portable/packable grill, and this model is perfect. We added the carrying bags to protect and store the grill, and they do just that.
When Will You Be Making Grill Hood For The 600 ? My Only Complaint.
Mr Brown we have the camp chef smoker and love it ,I bought the flat top 600 for conders paintball field for concessions and it is great , and I bought the flat top 600 for home, I did a lot of research before spend that kind of money and camp chef is top of the line, the first shoulder I smoked my 17 year old son said Dad this smoker is the best thing you have ever bought. thanks for your great products keep up the good work. sincerely Dennis Conder

I purchased the FTG600 from Camp Chef directly. It was shipped FedEx. The Styrofoam packaging is completely ineffective at protecting the components against modern delivery abuse. This is not my first Camp Chef unit and all have suffered the same type of damage. The operation of the grill is great and I would recommend it to everyone! Assembly is straightforward and easy, excluding the time it takes to fix or make acceptable the shipping damage. Cooking on this grill is easy as the temperature is mostly even across the surface with ample shelving space.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.

No Restocking Fee
Most companies charge a restocking fee. We just don't do business that way.
