Just did my third cook on my new FTG 600. Fed Ex delivered it two weeks ago. The factory packing was good and the unit did not have a scratch on it even though the box was ripped. It took about 2 hours to put together by myself taking my time. It would have helped at times if I had someone to hold the other end of things. The directions were straight forward. All the parts fit together well. It is well built and solid like a tank. It comes pre-seasoned but I seasoned the grill a few more times before I cooked on it. My first cook was off but I've gotten better with my next two. I have an infra red thermometer gun and the cooking surface is fairly uniform (nothing more than +/- 10 degrees difference). With no wind it runs hot (+400 degrees) even on low. I cooked yesterday in about 10-15 mile wind and it made a difference needing to go to medium to get the same temperature. The wind guards also worked well with some of the + 25 gusts. I bought the hood version and the tarp cover. Both are well made look great and fit the unit well. The tarp cover held tight and kept the unit dry in a Nor'easter we just had with heavy rain and 40+ mile gusts. Very happy with my new flat top grill so far and no complaints.

Bought this and received it a few weeks ago. Simple but well built. Heats quickly and is a ton of fun to cook on. I've done breakfast with pancakes eggs and bacon all at once, fried rice, cheesesteaks, you name it. And having the regular grill grates underneath for when you need to just grill something is great as well. Has everything I need and nothing I don't.

I have had my flat top 600 for about a month and have made a variety of great meals. I am really glad I chose this grill. Today, I roasted two pounds of green coffee beans on the flat top. This flat top is perfect for roasting coffee. I have roasted coffee in cast iron skillets, but this flat top makes it so much easier and you can do a larger batch. If you want to give this a try, find a few articles on roasting coffee to get an understanding of the process. Then fire up the grill and give it a try. Low heat is plenty hot for this purpose.

I cook for gatherings and events of over 100 people with the griddle. This includes prep and line cooking. The portable unit works best for my needs. The grill cover needs to come with this unit instead of extra. There is an aftermarket shelf for the front of the unit to place plastic bottles and knifes and scrappers and the like.

Box showed up with damage, right leg doesn't even have the threads in it. Both shelves have paint chipped off on corners. Bought for second home but not sure it was the correct purchase

The grill works as expected. Beware the flat top wraps. I contacted customer service and they told me to put a pot of water on it. That doesn't work and who wants to cook with a pot of water on their flat top. I my experience they don't take responsibility for for quality control.

The product came in with significant damage (that did not prevent usage). Some of the damage was obviously from shipping. However, there is also evidence of poor workmanship including bent stainless on the top right and poor welds. Some of the welds were left untouched and others had noticeable attempts at repair that left cosmetic damage. Both shelves had shipping damage. The top shelf was only scratched but the bottom shelf had been caved in (but I was still able to install it). I took pictures of the damage as I was assembling the grill (with some pictures after it was completed due to the fact that I did not see the additional issues before starting). The grill is functional and life is too busy to deal with trying to return it so I am using it as is. After purchasing a Woodwind 24 a couple of years ago, I was very excited about purchasing the FTG600 to expand my outdoor cooking capability. My disappointment with how I received my product has certainly dampened that enthusiasm and has made it virtually assured that I will purchase a different brand of product when it comes time to make my next purchase.

We've used this griddle 3 times camping. Awesome griddle! Able to cook for the whole group. Cooks consistent and seems to be infinitely adjustable for our various meals. Only one issue wth the grille is a slight warpage which caused a couple of the plug welds to break.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
